Yeah Sean, really pleased with it so far. I hope we can get the video soon. I went down past the start / finish line to try and film it with my hand held video cam and it was pretty difficult (ie shaky) but the sound on back off through the kink was really strange. Super raspy unlike any 951 I’ve heard before. I actually thought there was something wrong like a miss, but no. I’ll have a look at that video tonight and maybe upload it. Apparently some pro photographer is taking pics of it this afternoon at the workshop.
ps Thanks Scott. It's a blast!

Mark, well Paul had a 1:00 as his eclectic. His best was a 1:01.9 on the Mediums with the boost turned down a little. There's more time in the car for sure. We'll be sharing the driving duties although it won't be me troubling the scorer. ;-) Am hoping to make the last PCNSW event in October.

An Eclectic lap is the best of all your sectors. So if a track is broken up into e.g. 10 sectors then you just get the best time for all of them as an aggregate. It's fictitious even though you've actually done those times on the sectors. It's like your 'Coulda-woulda-shoulda' lap if you get my meaning. The more consistent you are as a driver, the closer your best time is to your eclectic. It gives you something to strive for and I've no doubt that there is a 1:00 flat in this car.

It sure is Shawn! I was actually feeling really tense prior to doing the Shakedown the other day. Both for expectations of how the car and me would react. The car won on the day! Now I’m just really keen to get back out there and try and remember how to drive. As I said elsewhere, one failed trackday in 3.5 years doesn’t make a Champion! The track that we’re testing on is quite different to the one that we need to be fast on in October but testing anywhere is better than not testing at all.
Here’s a little edited Video that Paul made. It’s him driving. I think he left the music over the motor due to Go-Pro’s poor sound. Not sure. Hope to get some more with better engine sound soon. From outside the engine makes a sound unlike any 951 I’ve heard before, especially on backoff. Just a straight through 3” with no muffling or anything.
