I STILL think that orange car was laying grease the entire time you were on the track!
Watch the vid, as a spectator, rather than as the driver.

Note the 1:50 mark. Going a bit slower but the car should have rotated. Easy catch. More recently...not so much.

also, you were driving more often then, in a platform that you knew how to predict.

True. To be honest and this isn't to make any excuses, but the car is very different to what I was used to. Don't get me wrong, I love it and can feel the potential. Missing 3rd gear selection a few times has me irked. I never missed in my old box. The brakes are very different but I was growing to like them. Seating position is different. Motor felt good though. Having a guy on the sidelines very calmly analyzing everything that the data produces is great, but also slightly distracting. Still, it was great feeling like there was sooo much more to learn.
Anyway, time to put it behind me and get over it. Life goes on.

Let's put this in my World. You have a new weapon system. You are working with a top notch, but unknown team in an area of operations, where you do not know the warning signs of the enemy, but MORE IMPORTANTLY, you don't know the idiosynchracies of your team. As you enter the area of your mission objective, where the **** starts ramping up and the World becomes VERY unforgiving; you take a bad read on a tenable situation. You shoot. Target down, BUT too early for the bigger fish. Half the mission is accomplished, but our egress just got complicated. Was it your fault, or mine, as the Team Leader...or was it just the way the battlefiled works? If you're good, you'll never stop trying to figure out how YOU failed. As the Team Leader, I already know. I let you down. I put you in a position, before you were properly prepared to deal with something TOTALLY unkonown. You did all you could do. We all got out. We'll debrief and we'll regroup. Then we will win. Heal up. Drink a beer. The war isn't over as long as you are alive.

ps...in this case, you are your own team leader, but the advise stands. Drink a beer. Tomorrow is a new day.

pss. Next time we WILL win, or someone else will be on my team.

That's the part I usually wait to say. As I said, above. You'll have to tell yourself, but there is a time for all things. Give yourself the space to be both the shooter, the leader, and then the COMMANDER. They are all different.

On a note about window nets, a guy here had his arm fly out the window and car rolled and took it off a couple of months ago. A window net or some kind of string tying your arm to body to restrict its movement is not a bad idea...
