Thanks all for the good wishes. It's been many of those in the past that have helped carry me through this build.
The shocks and springs are Moton 2 ways. 900/1100. Pretty sure I was just a dunderhead and didn't change the settings which were on full soft all round. Too many other distractions. D'oh!!

must be christmas all over again for you!!
geez those are hard spring rates, must get little to none body roll around any corner!
How many seconds per lap you aiming to shave off your old lap times at eastern creek?

Previous best was 1:45.8 but on R specs. There’s still a lot more to be had out of the car and I’m aiming at getting underneath 1:40 eventually. In that it did 1:43.8 under those circumstances leads me to believe that it’s not too crazy to think we can get quite a few more seconds out of it with the larger new slicks yet to go on, suspension being sorted out, wing, bit more power etc…It’s ok to dream huh.

i reckon you could do it under 1:40.
with a lighter car, more grip & better handing. i'm sure it's possible.
Paul knocked off 2 seconds with what ever tires you had on there in practice.
IICR you're building a darton sleeve 3.xL engine?

No, there is a dry sleeve 3L somewhere in the world...
Thanks Sid. Definitely hope so and really looking forward to moving ahead with the car now.
ps, did your buddy Dave ever do those intakes?

Few more bits and pieces. Got the car weighed today. 1197kgs or 2630lbs and that's with OEM doors (stripped a little) and glass hatch. So a bit more to come out of it but wing to go on yet.
Replaced the wastegate with a locally made TurboSmart version. Couldn't believe how much smaller it is compared to the LR modified stock version. When the builder took off the LR one he thought that it was a strange way of installing it as the exhaust gas push against the w/gate piston instead of blowing through that when it opens. Seems odd to me too. Note the welding skills. Few more shots of some custom pipework he did on one of his bikes. Those pipes took 3 days.
Also decided to modify the front hubs to run the wheel speed sensors to give a cleaner read. Front shock pots on now too so we should be able to get some reads and dial in a bit of T/C.
Found the rear RHS Banana arm bushing to have a bit of looseness in it. Does anyone know if you can just buy the inner part?
First event this Saturday. They're predicting a heap of rain this week. Hope we at least get some dry laps with the new wider rubber on this week.

As usual, great looking work!! I was wondering what size sway bars you are running with the spring rates you have.

Springs are 900/1100 f-r.
Edit: I just jumped on their site and saw that today is the last day for entries. I can't actually fax one from home so I've emailed David Aitkin to see if he'll let me join tomorrow.
