Oh crap - after all that work! I add my hope that you are okay physically (can't imagine you're doing well emotionally right now).

Oh man, I'm so sorry to hear that... I presume you are ok?

Getting rear-ended or otherwise jacked up by another car is my worst fear. Like you, I've got to much time invested in my car, I can't imagine what I would feel like if that happened. I'm glad you aren't throwing in the towel...

Thanks for all the kind words. Monica and I are generally ok. Both our necks are a bit sore and Monica's wrists are sore from trying to brace herself against the dashboard with her hands. We were both wearing our belts. I've always heard that the head rests in Porsche's are some of the safest in the world. After tonight I have to agree. I think my neck would be majorly screwed up if not for the support I got from the headrest.

The other driver told the cop that he was looking down at his GPS and did not see that we were stopped. He said he was going "freeway speed" when he hit us. He was driving a 2002"ish"extra cab Chevy truck.

The passenger fender is jammed up against the door so that it binds up when you try to open it and it is hard to get it closed all the way. I think the trans case is busted(the new AOR LSD I installed/dropped on my arm)

Monica and I were dressed up to go to a nice dinner for our 11th anniversary(It's tomorrow. 11th anniversary on 11/11/11. How cool is that).

The guy got out of his truck and took one look at us and said, "You guys were going somewhere nice weren't you? I ruined your night, didn't I. Now I really feel bad."

I'll post pics tomorrow.

I expect to be buying it back and pulling the good stuff.
I may be in the market for a shell in great shape to swap into.
Oh man! My condolences...and I exactly know how that feels!!

+1 on the head rest! I've always liked how Porsche builds their seats.
