Thanks Doc. I am happy with how it turned out. I was pushing for 15K and would have been happy with 12K or more. I've had pm, phone, and email conversations with some listers who have gotten into the low 20's for their cars. They were very low mile cars in pristine shape.
I would have loved to get that kind of money but I don't think it is realistic or really ethical on my part. The insurance company was pushing "actual cash value" and I was pushing(at least in my own mind) to be compensated for what I've got in the car and what it would cost to buy one in similar shape.

I will be doing a declared value policy in the future.

I'm not going to wild with suspension and brake modes. A strut brace will be going on ASAP(anyone got a good one for sale??). It already has Koni adjustables on all four corners. I'll also be looking for a bolt in roll bar for some DE and autocross days. It has to come back out when i want to take my boys with me.

It may need to come out when you want to put the top up. It's a bit tighter in a cab compared to the coupe. The great thing is that with the top down, you have ALL KINDS OF ROOM to work with your roll bar/hoop. You'll need arm restraints as well if you take her anywhere near a track.

Arm restraints for me or the instructor who will be flailing their arms and screaming in terror beside me?

I am happy with the final numbers.

$13720 and that is with me keeping the car. I've put more than that into the car over the last three years of owning it but I can reuse most of the parts.
You did well. I got 16.5k and got to keep the car and that's with me producing serious receipts for a lot more than that in the last 24 months of ownership.

My mind is racing with a design for a roll hoop that has removable door bars that run into plates in the footwells or sills. Turbo cab should be a fun car.

It isn't my cup of tea but it is a good writeup on putting flares on a cab.

I saw that write up when I was looking for different flare options.
It's not my cup of tea either. If it was just the flares it would be ok but the bumper and the top cover are just too much.

Here in Socal the greatest concentrations of convertibles are in SF, North Hollywood and in Palm Springs.
