Default Just ordered M-Tune!

I know I'm not the first to order since the announcement was made early this morning, but hopefully I'm safely in the first batch. Let the fun begin!

Now I just need those SFR headers from eBay to arrive (tomorrow) and send a big box of stuff off to be ceramic coated. The rebuilt turbo is back from LR, and a new HV fuel pump, filter, and a few other final bits are on the way from LR to complete my parts acquisitions. I was hoping to be ready to put everything together on Memorial Day weekend, but finding good headers took longer than I had hoped... now I've got to wait for the ceramic coating to happen before I can begin most of the re-assembly. I'll start a new thread with plenty of pics if anyone is interested in following along my saga as I get my little toy back on the road!

Add $50 to either to modify DME for 28-pin (mail-in & return)

Looks like it's not quite as cheap as everyone acted like it was going to be...

Looking forward to some more impressions of the product. I'll be ordering the A-Tune soon, I don't have the coin for the M-Tune right now since I'm fixing every little problem the car has first to have a good base.

And sounds like you're going to have a heck of a car when all is said and done Matt. I just saw in your signature you have no head gasket? Are you running the head directly on the block?

The price is exactly where I thought it would be. $1,100 for "true" MAF, MAP, chip, and 3-d fuel mapping is less than half the cost of other options that aren't quite as comprehensive. Toss in $280 for a matched set of 80# injectors (I need new injectors anyway), and that's a pretty good deal if you ask me.

It's a hell of a lot cheaper than the alternative...

That is a stupid statement.

Difficult to argue with that logic!

Actually, the head is on a shelf at the moment... maybe I should change my sig to "short block only" until I get it put back together?

Nice! I'm still waiting on my C-Tune from Rogue I know he's been busy and has been very helpful. I can't wait to feel the difference

I just know the difference from when I drove my car from the A-tune after installing the M-tune, it was amazing. It's just so much easier to drive everywhere, throttle is MUCH more responsive, the car has an AWESOME growling sound from the intake, the sound of the recirc valve is very audible, and the car just gets up and scoots. the night I installed it, I was driving next to a wall every opportunity I got, opening the throttle, and closing it just to hear the turbo spool, then blow off. It just pulls, and pulls. the off-boost driveability improved over the AFM incredibly. it just is smooth as silk running. I'm excited to see more 951's running the M-tune, because it's such an amazing product.

I've got a new factory head gasket I need to put up for sale. I just found it with the rest of the engine parts I have sitting around. It is brand new/never installed from the looks of it(so IT shouldn't leak) Make me an offer.
