I feel like I came in on the tail end of things..(insert gay joke here) I was on an Acura email server in the late 90's. So I remember how that was. My good friend who had this car before me told me about Rennlist. I certainly post less, and have less energy to answer questions 've already answered 20x's before, or already know the **** storm that will ensue if I give the answer that is not popular, but I believe to be true. Even still. Glad to be here and know many of you from the list.

Still remember you calling the Boxster a "big haired secretary's car" and passing one every chance you got.

Old guy here. Started with the list server. You know you've been here too long if you remember:

--the great e-ram debates of 1999
--jon anderson's classic "screw you guys I'm never posting here again" thread
--discussions about how to drill the cycling valve for more boost
--the good 'ol Cooper Cup (and iceshark, z3bra, and...)
--porsche going after JD for using the porsche name
--the ARC2
--when Lindsey's primary (only?) product was the "boost enhancer"

I'm seeing forum degradation all over. The nvidia forums have really taken a dive in the past year.

Unfortunately, content is no longer king. It's more about multitasking and social networks than sharing knowledge about these cars.
