Default Good place to get steel lugs?

Ok this might be a stupid question, but I've done a quick search on Lindsey and Pelican and came up empty. Not sure I trust the bozos at Autozone.

I'm looking for a new set of steel lugnuts for my CCW wheels. I currently have a good set, but they're raw steel (not painted or anything) and as such they leave rust stains whenever the wheels get wet. It's annoying. Am hoping to find an anodized set or something (similar to my stock lugs, which I have, but since the PO insisted on using the other lugs with the CCWs I assume that the stockers won't work for some reason.)

Anybody got a recommendation for a place I can get a set of good steel anodized lugs?

I just got a set of stud conversions for a 996 GT3 from Rennline and they came with black anodized steel lug nuts. Might give them a shout and see if they sell they nuts separate (they came in separate packaging, so i don't know why they wouldn't).

Ok, a little basic info here – you can’t anodize steel!!!

Anodizing is a process best used for aluminum or titanium.

I usually use chrome plated steel lug nuts on track cars – they hold up much better to repeated use compared to powder coated nuts.

The lug nuts are the same as VW and Audi…

I didn't catch that part about anodizing. Didn't know you could do anything other than aluminum, for that matter. I didn't think titanium oxidized that quickly and uniformly.

My Audi and my old VW use bolts - didn't realize any of them used nuts. In that vein, you have any secrets for longer wheel studs that are the same, or otherwise fit, without the Por$che name attached?

I hate lug bolts and I have converted every car that had bolts to studs long ago!
Older Audis and VW used the same 14 x 1.5 nuts.

Cad plated open style nut (stud can go through nut). Cad plating should resist rust unless you take them on and off a lot!

Chrome plated ‘closed’ nut – it does not allow for longer studs.

Chrome plated similar to stock style nuts – nice but pricey.
