Anyways i ramp the boost very aggressively to get a great spoolup, i actually have a spike right before i hit max boost. If i were just to set the boost and be done with it i wouldn't have it spooling so fast. The piggyback boost control is a pain to set up right the first time but when you understand it its excellent.

It boils down to budget, requirements and personal preference.
Sounds like I need a K27/7.....!

That will be a interesting concept. I'm sure someone, somewhere will come up with it.

The ignition system was weak... which is why the dyno looked the way it did on that day,.

Boost? And yes, very nice bang for the buck.

Are you sure that's a K27/6? Are sure it's the -6 turbine? The reason I ask is because I've dynoed out a lot of K27/6 cars as well as having seen many others. But I've never seen one that spooled so late like yours does. Maybe the wastegate/boost controller was not functioning properly?

Anyway... that dyno is not what you'd normally see on a K27/6 with respect to spool (which should be very close to a stock K26/6 spool)

A K27/8 is about 12000 SEK if I leave my old turbo as exchange. To get a K27/6 I would need to first source an old K26/6 unit as well.
Buying a SFR or Pauertuning KKK/Garrett hybrid (I have assumed that they have a KKK hot housing, or is it a machined Garrett housing?) would be app. 10000 SEK including the swedish 25% VAT and freight (1$ = 7.55)

It will be interseting to see the Vitesse offer when it's ready.

I agree - unless that dyno was done in 2nd gear...? My K27/8 spins up quicker then that.

The K27 DR (is for David Rain??).. It's a K26/6 hot side, with a reworked turbine wheel. Amazing, how long ago this stuff is, that's early/mid 90s era!

Well its a hybrid - K26/8 turbine wheel, in a machined #6 housing.
So half /6 and half /8 - I would say that could be arguably be called a /7.

The whole turbine combination was used a turbo sold ROW only.

If you average 6 and 8 you get a 7. We'll go with it

Do you consider the KKK/Garrett hybrids as more modern or are you thinking of Garrett GT series?
