Nope, not until it passes smog and I can get plates for it. Once that happens as long as everything checks out sensor wise I can spend my time tweaking the SMT6 to get the fuel and boost maps where I want them.

Josh, if you figure out why the car is running less vacuum (maybe a vacuum leak?), it might be the reason it's running rich. With less vacuum you get a higher fuel pressure, causing the rich mixture.

Make sure the FQS is set correctly!

I'm running 95# injectors with AFR in the 14.5-15.2AFR. Others are running 83# injectors the same as you with idle in the 14s (closed loop).

The MAF has a black wire going to engine/chassis ground. Disconnect it from chassis and connect it to battery (-) ground terminal. If it changes the AFRs, you have a ground issue...

As you all know, but just wanted to chime in.. Fantastic advice. There are other things to check instead of trying to tune stuff out. - ask me why I know!! hours / days of doing it backwards.

Yep, I already sent an email to the shop explaining the FQS and then forwarded your post here John...

We're not going to tune around an issue. Everything will be checked, then addressed.

OK, addressed a few vacuum leaks and turns out FQS was in position 1, so adding +5% fuel. Currently trying to figure out what the green plug on the front of the motor is an what it's supposed to be attached to....

Ok, mystery solved, it's the temp switch for the turbo after run pump. Hopefully everything is now hooked up, time to put some E85 in the tank and maybe run FQS 2 to lean the car a little and see if it'll finally pass smog.

If so, then back to FQS 0, tune the boost maps and away I go!

Good, no need to remove the parts in favor of the stock components. You should be running in closed loop as with the stock 951.

The first image should be test firendly. E85 works even better, just select the correct image.. You can lean it via PB as well.

Yep, that's the plan. Run it on the 1st image and make sure it's going into closed loop. I've read the instructions for the PB a few times and I understand how to tune the boost maps, but I'm still a little confused on how to lean/richen the maps with it...

Lean/Richen is very simple. In the Analog MAP you increase a value (Richen) or decrease it (Lean).

Almost there! Shop fixed some vacuum leaks and sensor connections and now it's running and idling in closed loop like it should!

Just need to get it past smog and tune the boost maps and it'll be good to go!

YES!!! Passed smog today with the Vitesse stage 2 kit, 83 lb injectors and LR 3" cat on the car!!! I'm so freaking excited about this, you can't even imagine!!!

Just need to set the boost maps and the car will be done!

Thanks John! I'm so excited to finally have the car and be able to drive it. It's been an extremely frustrating battle with the car, beginning with the PPI until now.

Didn't help that my wife kept making cracks about how the car has been in the shop since I've owned it.

I told my neighbors that they'd know the car has arrived home by the long rubber marks on the street outside of my garage...
