Default Lotus Exige S

My Co worker bought a 2007 Lotus Exige S. That thing sounds nice when the Supercharger comes on. Also the tires are slicks. I really like the lines.Uhmm I need some more HP.

Yeah, a buddy of mine has an Exige with the supercharger and, damn, that thing flies. Handles like nothing I've seen before... of course we're shoulder to shoulder in it...

That's funny we said the same thing. Plus He's 6'3" and it's a pain to get out of these things. What I like the most is the Toyota Celica motor sound uhmm that is until it starts screaming.

At 2100 pounds that 1.8 performs like a 3.0.

One of my dream cars! I had a student at the Glen a few years ago with one. He let me drive it for a session and I fell in love.

6'3 and he fits in it? Wow. I went and looked at a regular Elise a few years ago (right after I landed my current job, and before I was married, so I had a ton of extra cash laying around) and didn't fit. Sitting in the ones on the dealer's showroom floor, with the seat all the way back, I was staring at the top of the windshield.

I didn't even bother test driving one, because their only demo had the roof on it. Wasn't about to try stuffing myself in there. And I'm an inch shorter than your coworker!

I had the opportunity to ride in one fully raced preped, stripped to 1750 lbs., supercharged and the thing was scary fast. Would love to have one of these someday.

I drove my friends Elise at Beaverun for a DE. Handles like a big go-kart. Not that quick in a straight line - my old chipped turbo would pull it down the straights. My friend (who is 6-2 and fits easily) is a good wheel man and he can run with most anything at the various DE's he attends. Where the Elise and Exige REALLY destroy other cars is in braking.... they stop NOW and you can gain tons of time on almost every other car out there in the braking zones. If it didn't require a yoga move to get in and out, and they carried more than laptop for luggage, they would be great dual purpose daily drivers.

Kinda close, but one of my really good friends has a 2-Eleven. That thing is an absolute rocket ship! Pretty quick in a straight line, but unstoppable through the turns! And I fit in it! (6'8) but then again there is no roof.....

my friend bought an elise a few years ago and i got a quick ride in it just around town. the one thing that really surprised me was the way it rode. i don't mean the stiffness but the bounciness of it. it felt like when one of those kids takes a civic and cuts the springs and then uses the stock shocks. i was really shocked since i always considered lotus to have superior knowledge when it came to suspension tuning. and this was just on LA surface streets at lower speeds and not any kind of major bumps; just average stuff.
has anyone else experienced this? not sure if there are many different suspension options or how adjustable the shocks and/or ride height is but something wasn't set to perfection. but i've never heard any other mention of this in magazines or anywhere else.

I just drove it today, and all I can say .
It's fast and it handles way better than my 951. At 70mph I can steer it to where I want without worring about losing control.
The only issue we both had was getting out of the car otherwise, it's an awesome ride.
