Default mod help

alright im on my third 944 started of with an n/a and then an s2 now on a 1986 turbo with lindsey racing 3.0 bar regulator and boost enhancer. looking to get 350 to 400. now I after all this i have been learning as i go but now im not sure where to start. i know fuel injectors and turbo and chip are a must and the 8v head is limiting but i dont want to have massive lag. hitting full boost at 4000 wouldnt be bad so i want to stay around that.
so i guess im asking whats my limits with a stock 2.5 and recommended mods for my horsepower needs. thanks

370 at the wheels is sort of the limit .. so you can get 370 but then after that every HP cost you triple what the one before it cost its sort of the piont you can get to with a good motor with bolt ones only .

If your internals are stock you will break them eventually running that much HP. You need new rods like Pauter and pistons like Wossner or JE, your crankshaft done, and APR fastners.

I would lose the boost enhancer and switch to a Lindsey MBC. I don't understand the problem with the BE but
I know it can cause trouble. Max chip, test pipe,55lbs injectors, wastegate and 3 bar FPR would be a good start.

You're going to need a different turbo to make your goals. Also something other than the factory AFM. Injectors will be a must as well as a waste gate. Also a better clutch to put the power to the wheels. There are so many different ways to solve your problem, you should read around here first and visit vendor sites. Get as much information on kits and these engines as possible. Then you can sit back and watch as your wallet gets lighter and lighter and lighter...

Vitesse stage whatever.. Turn it up every now and then for 400whp... keep it at a 330-350 every day.. you'll be extremely happy. Bolt in and easy...

rods and pistons on a turbo will happily hold up to 400 hp for eva and if not just break what you have ....
a set of fancy rods and pistons cost more then second hand engine to start again if it all went bad ...
