That's why my new hybrid is getting a Z06 torque tube and t56 transplant. The 6 speeed swap also puts you in F1 weight distribution....bonus for getting the V8 torque to the ground.
Please write a thread about this. The only time I saw someone else do something like this was Steve Rea's hybrid and it was reported that he had issues chasing roll centres.

i've put 11k miles on the Sledgehammer.... including,

cruising the LA basin for a month,

two completed transcon drives,

a trip up the west coast to Monterrey.....

and four 400 mile runs between LA and Phoenix....

last one was a few days ago,

returned last night..... now kickin' it in nippy Malibu.

damn LA heat is GONE. the nights are COLDDD

outside of a few negative nancy moments that turned up to be little more than minor crap/adjustments....

it's rather unsettling.... feeling close to 944/968 nirvana -

no breakdowns/no problems really

save for:

pulling into a shop in Glendale, CA last week to repair to a solid PS line (should be a permanent fix).

cooked brake rotors in UTAH (from going very fast for hours in the mountains).

and i still got no heat (yet).

time to to upgrade the fuel pump, soon as as i can get Doug Bray to open the tool shed.

I was going to post that too. He seems to hit about 7200rpm and almost 300kph. Looking at the gear chart I reckon that puts him square on 280kph just to illustrate speedo error. Nevertheless, fast car and not completely sane driver.

Not the most suitable road to drive at that speed. Reckless and stupid.

951 gearing is actually a little higher, so he may be correct.

That's what I was thinking. I thought it was bad, but when came up on the tractor I knew it was just plain stupid!

I assumed he had a 6 speed based on an association with another car that had converted to the 968 gearbox. http://www.flussigmagazine.com/1/pos...o-944-gtr.html

Oil pressure suggests the engine isn't in top health.

could be a 40 weight oil.

i thought the M1 0w oils were pretty good. but i didn't drive near the redline.

with normal driving, i lost about 1/5th~1/4 of a bar between the 0w40 and the 15w50 with a healthy engine

before i switched to M1 0w50 oils for the winter.

maybe the oil guage is off.

in any case, that video is insane.

the stupid crap before the autobahn, i'd prefer not to have known about.

i assume he's on a 25.0~25.25" tire. be nice to know.
