I will need those exact pistons! .. except.. FLAT TOP..lol.. you went too low on compression.. I say that with confidence. Only hurts you in the fact that you're leaving power under the curve / spool time, on the table. Still sexy!

I think you are going to like the results. Consider starting with more aggressive cam timing then you think you might need.

are you using the fancy lock bolts on the CV's ??
we'd like to see some pics of how it failed ...
I still think i tie rod from the bottom of the gear box to the rear rail will help save CV's as one gets stretched and one compressed ...
i will post some up this arvo after i swap them out for new ones. Im on a first name basis with the tow truck driver. i even get a discount hehe. standard CV bolts for me.

I have some wossner 104mm flat tops here as well, i think 11.0:1 would be a little high for turbo though

Nice for an E85 motor....

BTW - If anybody wants some 'odd' pistons Wossner has been making custom pistons for me for quite a while. I just had a set made up for Chevy wrist pins diameter and a relocated position.

I made up a set with the crown .040’ outside the deck and a flat top with a very thick crown – the customer wanted to machine his own bowl to perfectly match his combustion chambers.

Anything is possible!

They seem very willing to work with the customer / builder.

Chevy wrist pins you wild man LOL
yeh Sean i think you could sell them on that rod smith forum or you could perhaps build a challenge car engine i think the going rate is about 6k for one but i know you won't . as ya trying to find time for your own stuff ....

yeah you better Adam, its been a while since ive seen what you have been up to. how about an update from you.
i cant use this engine until we finish this season so no need to rush. I did spec these pistons to use stock 944 S2 rings as i prefer the larger rings and the oil ring design.
