In all honesty a fuel injector before the hotside of the turbo would accomplish the same thing. And your car would sound like a rally car.

i imagine you could do something with a gear drive on the turbine shaft with the motor mounted alongside, and then when the turbo gets to higher speed have a clutch on the motor gear of some type so it freewheels.

The VW Touareg 10Cyl diesel has used electric turbos for a few years now. The have virtually no turbo lag.

How about this for keeping the turbo spinning and a lag free solution...

is that because the fuel adds density to the air hitting the hotside, or does it ignite in the pipe?

I have thought of something like that using propane like the mini jet engines you see on youtube.

Also you still need to ignite the extra fuel for an anti lag
