Wow, that is some spaghetti you got going there!

That Tial turbo has been floating about this forum for years and never seems to come to fruition. Wasn't Azmi (sp?) doing something with it?

He has the very first one. They were supposed to have a kit developed by now for purchase. Like most things it takes alot longer for things to happen then most would like.

Hopefully the kit actually ends up making it to production. It'd be nice to have some new turbo kits on the market for these cars. Long time coming on the tial kit.

The kit is done and out. I don't run the whole kit but I have a Tial turbo I will be trying. The one I'm using is a v-band in and out. The kit has stock crossover inlet and 4 bolt outlet.

Yup, Sean's got the first one and it's a great turbo. I'm running the Vitesse Stage III and our cars are essentially a dead heat. HOWEVER, they both achieve the same end using very different means.

The Tial is an awesome low-end turbo. Sean's spool up is much quicker than mine and has a huge hit down low (which can be jarring on the track, especially if you're running less-than-ideal tires in the rear). The Vitesse, on the other hand, is a much less dramatic spool up and does not really shine until around 4700 -- it's considerably more linear than the Tial unit.

In sum, the Tial offers fantastic low end with good top end; the Vitesse St III offers good low end with awesome top end.

Interesting info Dave, does the Tial turbo bolt up to the stock engine mount? Also any clearance issues like with the alternator or intake manifold?

I do remember the original thread about this. Good to know info for if i ever get bored of the 60-1 HiFi.

The Tial turbo does NOT bolt to the stock mount(that I know of). I could be wrong as I haven't tried but I think thats why they sell it with the mount.

It will hit the alternator if you get the big 4" inlet of the GT35. I think the GT30 is ok. I haven't tried it. The intake is fine.

I just looked up the old thread and looked at the pictures. The mount looks alot like the mount that SSI is selling and advertised awhile back for a Garrett ball bearing install. Looks like this could be the Tial kit?

Not meant to be a 'call out' or anything, just some conjecture on my part.

Its the same. If your tial dealer, you can buy it direct. PS - I'm not advertising so don't report me.

Dave, what size do you use for the up pipe?
Nice path for the pipe.

Duke,

The inlet/v-band is 2 1/8". Its a large crossover and then it funnels down to the inlet. The main reason why I routed it that way is, I wanted to fit my wastgate right between the inlet/outlet but I'm going to do something different now. The other issue is, its a nice area but with the high heat, I am going to have to shield the hell out of it.

ahh. That's where the baller Garrett GT series mount is. Nice.
yep, routed the up pipe in the same spot. Not much room, hard to do right. I used a 2.25" up pipe. Spool was still insanely fast.
