If i pulled up next to you at the lights, i wouldn't think where would be a 3.1L monster quietly sitting under that hood!

Hmmm…this has started me thinking – since there are some guys here with a common interest – is there any interest in planning a get together for later summer? I know a lot of the 944 guys get ot the ‘fest each year, would there be any interest in planning a late summer event? Maybe even the vintage races at Watkins Glen in the fall? Lots of really nice roads in the Central New York area and there is always the winery tours for those with significant others!
There are number of other interesting races at Watkins Glen that we could base a get together around. 6 hour Daytona prototypes, Grand Am and others.

Any interest???

I'm down for any Rennlist/944/Aviation/Firearm meet on this half of the country.

I'd be down! Gotta say, a Rennlist/944/Aviation/Firearm meet would definitely be interesting!!!

Let's all meet up at Chris's shop and go for a drive. I am not a racer but don't mind taking a little tour to the winery with the wife.

Hey Darwin, if you've been monitoring it at all thus far, what sort of gas mileage are you getting with your new engine? Interested in finding out if it's better or worse now.

Haven't the slightest. I've been running rich anyhow so it would be irrelevant. I hope to see at least what my old engine did with steady cruising.

Hi Darwin,

What level of engine coolant temperature are you seeing when cruising?

According to the Tec, I run at around 89-91 deg C when idling, and slightly cooler when driving. The dash gauge shows at the first white line or a tad under while driving, and maybe half the needle width above if it sits idling for a while.
