Small update, nothing major:
Pretty much have the entire front of the engine assembled and finished. Haven't cleaned up the turnbuckle tensioners yet, plan on trying to have them re-plated if I can find a descent plater. Also waiting on my oil filter sandwich plate to mount oil temp/pressure senders and the crank sensor bracket so I can mount the crank hall sensor.

Installed the new power steering rack (actually rebuilt unit from Zims). The new power steering line seems to be slightly different than the original and took some coaxing to get to fit right. Now everything seems fine, but it doesn't sit like the original did. Seems the banjo fitting at the pump was oriented slightly different on the original line.

Here's the header side shot. I installed the -12AN fittings on the oil filter housing, and also robbed a few rubber covers from the original harness to go over the new wiring for the factory oil pressure sending unit. Trying to make the harness install as clean as possible.

This is just a close up shot of the EGT probe. I have an adel clamp holding the wire to the back of the head so it can't flop around. EGT/Oil Press/Oil temp lines will be run thru the firewall with the harness. The sensor harness were plenty long enough to do this and I prefer it rather than running them through different grommets in the firewall.

A top shot showing the main harness. The two loose cables are the oil press/temp wires. They are loose because I have yet to install the actual sensors. When they go in, I'll tidy them up and zip tie the harness together so it won't look so funky.

This is just a turbo shot. The TPS is just hanging until I actually take the time to take it off the harness and mount it to the throttle body...

Still a lot of work to do but things are coming together nicely. Hopefully I can have the engine in the engine bay here within a week or two!

Where did you get that turbo from? I was looking for a genuine Garrett compressor housing of that size recently and I was told they are like hens teeth! The LR75 has a Chinese replica part and its 'ok' once you get it apart but its not formed as well as an original.

Got a few new parts in today, had a company in Seattle by the name of Goldline Brakes re-do my stock calipers. Their work seems pretty damn good. They are covered in a red polymer coating that is supposed to hold up to heat way better than powder coat or high temp paints.

Also got a set of battery cables from Robby. He took over this project from Dan Wray (Iceshark) after his death. Considering my current cable sheathing is cracking and falling off, and the exposed copper was corroding...these should fit the bill quite nicely:
