Good call on the piston squirters in the S2 block, talk to the machinest about locations of the spray pattern heading towards the exhaust valve side of piston!

Thanks boost feen. Your 968 is still a sparkle in my eye. Well see if things pan out in time, to make it mine. Now that its in excellence it probably wont last long. Lindsey did the machining on the block, part of the reason its taken this long is because of shipping from here to there. Almost finished tho.

Right on, Lindsey brothers do a very good job of putting street and race engines together! They do it right its just up to you to get the thing in the car and tuned which is a big step so dont rush when you get to that point! Go slow make a checklist when your daydreamin about the car sometime then run down it when you are getting close to finishing up the install. Then when you are ready to start it up run it for a half an hour or so make sure everything is normal then change the oil and coolant check them then run it at zero boost for the first 500 miles then change the oil again and slowly turn up the boost in 2-3 psi intervals! 9 times out of 10 if your having tuning issues or running problems it will be in the first 500 miles under a no boost situation and if this happens you will be able to fix it without costing yourself a lot of time and money by breaking parts!!!!

Very, very good info to know. Thanks! How often would you turn it up 2-3 psi? Its going to be tuned in the end for about 1 bar, with a stock head gasket. I was going for reliability more than max power with this build. I think the results should be pretty good tho. The builder is Don Jackson enterprises here in Phoenix. Theyve been working with powerhaus for a while now, and have been in their shop for 30 years or so. Best local builders, I could find. Im very excited!!

Yes use a regular factory wide fire ring 104 MM gasket! Make sure they use an S2 front pulley with the rubber dampner inside it! As long as your air/fuel ratio is good I would turn it up 2 psi every 100 miles! This gives your bearings time to wear in and doesnt give you instant hot spots if you start going lean in any areas of the engine speed, fuel mapping graph! Be very carefull with your selection of turbo, chip set, maf & controller because as you probably know this is one of the most important recipes to get right the first time! The electronics all need to work together very well to meter that turbo in order to get the engine to run right at various RPM's and loads. Russell and the lindsey brothers would each be able to get you exactly what they would do type examples!

I am getting impatient.
Looking very good Thom

Well, considering my engine is together, and it doesnt look any different than a 2.5 really. I hope a dyno chart will suffice in place of pics of the internals.
