There is still a real dearth of people actually using E85 at higher than normal 951 boost levels on the track.
Headgaskets on our cars have been a weak point at sustained higher boost levels. I'll be following your progress.

I WANT E-85!! LOL

It is the answer to a 951 owner's prayers. Being able to run race gas, or better, all the time for cheaper than 93 octane in many areas.

I check the listings for new locations every few months and the closest to me is still 60+ miles away.

Bruce,

Was that based on a 3bar (43.5psi) fuel pressure when you showed 420?

Also anyone interested eBay has a vast array of injectors from F.A.S.T. (19lb-160lb) 95lb'ers being 299.00 sent out flowed and tested.

On the link below you will see the Injector chart for 4cyl and max "flywheel" HP at the bottom.

Would it be to much to ask what size injector, turbo and boost these guys are using to achieve these results on E-85? Thanks.

I don't own a 951 yet but I want to say E85 Rocks! I've been running it in my boats for the last 3 years. I never run boosted with any other fuel.

Are there any reliability issues between running 83lb. and 95lb. injectors? I hear the 95lb. injectors are more finicky? If so what is the reason for the finickiness?

What hp levels can I run with 83lb. vs. 95lb. injectors?

Once I have all of the parts in order(injectors, fuel pump and FPR) then who do I get to tune it for E-85?
I have the Lindsey 340rwhp kit. Do I need to get a reprogrammed chip or new software?

I think you just invented a new word. 'Finickiness'?

Perhaps the perceived problem is just that it can become more difficult to run large injectors and get good cold start and idle, maybe even part throttle?

You get what you pay for with injectors. Meaning avoid Venom injectors (from what ive reard/heard, they are utter crap). Get a quality set like Dekas, or even better Injector Dynamics.

You can run much advanced timing. E-85 is cool. One of the guys on another forum could run his turbo RX-7 motor pushing 500 HP on E-85 and it would be cool to touch almost after dyno runs. It makes the car run cooler. Its just harder on the fuel system.

What sort of boost levels are you running on E85? What duty cycle are you seeing with the 1260's? How quickly are you getting through a tank of E85 at high boost?

Do you have a switch to flick between pump and E85 maps?

Have you had any issues with the headgasket even though I see you have O ringed head.

I have just break-in the new engine so i have just turned up the boost to 17,5psi but iīm aiming for 22psi soon

Last year i runned 20psi but had som problems with coolant pressure.
I had problems with my headstuds that came loose so for this year i have a new block with helicoils for all headstuds and together with the steam vent kit and the o-ringed block i hope to stay out of trouble

I can switch between pump and E85 by using the codeplug in the motronic but then i need to switch injectors also, i never use the pump position, it was only for precaution if i didnīt pass the yearly inspection

Normal (hard) street driving i use up a tank in 500km or 310miles

At 17,5psi i have a duty cycle about 55-60%
I know the injectors are a little big but i bought bigger just in case i plan to build a 3.0 engine

I hope that answered all your questions

Itīs fun to practise my english
