I resemble that remark....but haven't run into any major issues...

yet....

Sucks, mine has been sitting in pieces in front of my house for over a week for a "simple" turbo rebuild... just waiting for some studs, a seal, and a new oil line to put it all back together... maybe next week...

Was it because of running too rich or to hot?

Did the seals blow out, or one of the wheels detonate?

Just as long as it wasn't the ethanol injection.. I'm putting mine in and want to make sure it wasn't a eth backflash reaching his turbo... last time it happened to me it blew the entire nose off my car...

Do you have an idea of the cause? some of us out here might be able to learn the lesson without learning it first hand... Although first hand is often the quickest way to learn...

+1 Most people learn things the hard way.

Basically, my coolant line was not connected on the turbo. The gt3076r requires custom fab to run coolant. I was driving the car to the shop to get this done and that is where we assume most damage was done. ( the place was about a 45 min drive) This is no ones fault but my own.
Damage done: $1500
