The Mcoupe is nice as you can fit 315s, but the rear suspension is archaic (from the e30).
Whatever you do, know the aftermarket is growing by leaps and bounds with different offerrings of HGs, intakes, tubular manifolds, etc.

Question: Why won't a 928 V8 fit in a 951? It's basically the same block with an extra bank of cylinders right? A friend of mine found a 928 engine and was pushing me to try and put it in a 951. He's the one saying it should fit. I kept telling him no but I had no concrete proof that it wouldn't. So I thought I would ask the 'list. If an LS1 will fit why won't a 928 V8?

The KMR GTR changed hands for around $325k or is soon going to. Its been completed and is wicked sick.
A Cayanne Turbo S motor will fit in a tubed out frame....and yield a large amount of power. There's a guy in france doing it with a custom full tubeframe 944.

I'm also curious about the 928 transmission. Is it different from ours? Stronger or Weaker?

I really think it can be done . there is enough room to put the steering down the exhaust as we do in the correct steering countries and there are a few ways to adress the brakes one is to use a hydralic assis master the other is balance bar and vertical dual master set up at the bottom of the screen.
I'm sure its been done a few times they called it 948 didn't they ?
