Where are all the projects???
Wet and windy Winter kicking in finally. Bored and want to read about some interesting cars in here and there really isn't much going on, nor has there been for some time. No disrespect to the few threads that have kept us going, but seems awful quiet around here. Is everyone just out of cash, forever waiting on parts, had development issues, or doing something else???
A few names come to mind and apologies for missing anyone out but you get the drift.
From US:
ST
Evil
95ONE
Blown944
Rolex
GUNS
Chris White
MPD
TMS
Ski
Reno
DFASTEST
Rogue
XSBoost
The Edge
George D
daigo
etc etc...
From UK:
Paul, Nick, Peter, Ben...
+Deutsch guys.
Europe:
Duke, Anders, Hans, Olli, Pete, Markus...
Down here:
Rod, Scott, Mike, Adam...
Anyway post some stuff everyone. It's been a bit quiet on the project front I think you'll agree.
I will probably do a thread on my own car soon enough. Just waiting to go back to the dyno for the 2nd tune which should produce some decent results. So far we have seen 290whp at 9psi/5500rpm cutout which is promising in that the head/cam/turbo have only started to wake up. We should see a couple hundred more whp soon enough.

Well since I'm on the list (not that I deserve to be)
As you know my clutch turned out to be a POS. At this point I am taking a break with this car and just turning the boost down and am going to do the paint and try to make it look a little better. I will install the new clutch .....whenever I feel like it. Truly my last outing at the track just pissed me off.
I have been slowly working on the other car. Not as much as I had intended due to the rebuild on this one and having to deal with a couple of turbo problems.
so far the 83 has been stripped out and I have few goodies lined up for it when I get the time to get back to it. I have friend (chasis builder ) ready to do the cage and other tin work whenever I get it done and I have already traded out the work for it so it is as good as done, just trying to make sure I have the car far enough along to make sure he won't have to fool with it twice.
One nice thing about this process is that I now have some experience with all the sensors and tuning a MAP controlled fuel setup so I will not be in the dark when I do that car. I have also found that I will need a better clutch than I had originally intended to use, so at least on this car, I will not be wasting time and $$ there.

'Outback Dunny' is a toilet not located in the house or even in the City. lol Aussie lingo. Adam you have too much scattered stuff. Get your **** in a pile and make something fast and light and then go and scare all those rear engined PCVIC guys some!
Sid, you sure do deserve a spot in here. I'm trying to figure out a clutch setup too. Really, if you don't use your car in much stop-start traffic then I'd try the thing that I have. I might try it with the KEP2 that I have and see if it helps the modulation?

Dan, I have got the nose panel back from the paint shop and should have it fitted soon. Lucky, some lady reversed into me today and killed my current stock nose panel!!
Rod, post in here anyway as you have the turbo for a crossover post reference. There's probably quite a few people who aren't aware of your project in here.

gt37vgt I'm not a mechanic, but the 968 box swap is straightforward, you need at least one axle, the speedo can be a challenge if you are non abs, I think the shifter linkage was slightly adjusted. It is a great mod.
Still early with my turbo, and not much 951 in it.

Just a few more parts before the block goes to the shop and then...start the 2.8L build. The next project is Vegas for 4 days, Disney World for 5 (I'll be broke) and start building the engine in August.

Not that I am the same class as anyone here (actually same universe), but I am already planning the Winter 2008 -2009 complete suspension upgrade project... Have no idea where to start, but the 20 year Koni sport shock have to go and while I am in there... Just sold my 944 N/A to fund same... Just planning the negotiation with the wife.
