Upgraded Axles from The Driveshaft Shop

im going for over 500WHP, and over 7-800nm though...
same for mr 333pg333, we are both nutters.
my personal economy is still very good, but with the currency beeing ****ed, a GT2 tranny is now 45-50% more expensive than it was 3 months ago! :|
as for axels, I never managed to brake a single 1, in 2 seasons, on 285 and 295 R spec rubber, launching hard, going sideways, regular track duty, drags etc... not a single tranny either, but I'm getting over 100% more volume now that should help.

what ball joint? i am talking rear arms...
er do you mean put the 951 hubs into the steel arms ?
what a realy want to do is a strait swap and put the alloy arms into my 83 na ? can this be done ? and each car retain its own brakes ?

Yes to both questions ... i was talking front arms ,,, i would use the alloy rear arm
and do the fab work to convert to universal joints , ala 935 ....
Look into using 930 axles , if not cryo the stock ones and service frequently for track use ....

Try to cryo the stock axles ( best bang for buck to stock axles ) After this you will have to do the mods necessary to fit 930 axles. The modded after market axles are stronger than stock , but not enough not to fail and not as strong as the 930 axles.. The 924gtp uses 935 axles modiefied to fit and yes stock is strong enough for 400 ft/tq once you are not launching the car ....
These aftermarket axles that you refer to as "stronger than stock but not the 930",
are these the type that was mentioned earlier in this thread at $1000? Also, if going to a much stronger axle and perhaps UV joint, what gearbox?
