I thought I'd bring this back to life before I add more weight in (chromoly cage) and then pull a little more out beyond what I added.

Please see video below with car running. obviously wet with official NHRA Houston Raceway park scale.

Well, you didn't get to ride with me last time, but next weekend will be another chance! I'm thinking I'll turn the boost up even further if the brakes show they can handle the low boost setting. (after recent upgrades)

But can you keep the front panel glued on? What boost are you cranking it to? See you at the track.

LOL! yeah. who knows what'll fly off with the higher boost.

I was running 18psi that weekend. My high boost setting is 22.
I'm getting some blowby, so I probably won't turn up the boost for the end of year runs until Sunday.
Maybe once on Saturday when I will try and follow VR.

I was thinking of joining the VR trian when he passes me. The only bad thing is that it will be first run on Saturday, it will be interesting to see how many of us who are following end up over driving trying to keep up and wind up mowing the grass along the track.

Had my first official weigh in today while aligning and corner balancing. Weighed in at 2321 lbs (deducted 54 lbs for 9 gals of gas) - does include oil and coolant.

- 1986 944 Turbo tub – factory sunroof delete
- All the typical stuff street car stuff is gone - HVAC, interior, etc
- 8 point chromoly cage
- Hood and fenders are Racer’s Group carbon fiber
- Fiberglass front and rear bumper covers - stock front bumper/shocks - deleted in the rear.
- Fiberglass splitter, header panel, and widebody ¼ panel.
- Partially gutted steel doors - still have the impact bars and inner sheet metal
- Lexan rear window
- Aftermarket wiring harness/ecu
- Carbon fiber dash
- Charlie arms
- Tarrett sways
- 17" BBS Motorsports magnesium center wheels
- Headlight delete (buckets are still there but all the lights, mechanism, etc are gone.
- Braille battery
- Dry turbo
- Sparco Evo seat

I still have glass windshield and rear quarters. Torsion bar assembly is stock - for now.

That's awesome Skip. Starts to cost a lot of money when you try to go below 2500 lbs.

Did you just put on the widebody? maybe a reference to some pics of your car?

My 944/968 RS3 is likely to bump smlporsche off the list when my car is complete. I will post the car's weight as soon as I can get it.

Thanks. The widebody was put on by the Chris Cervelli who owned Technodyne at the time and originally built it. Here are a couple pics:

That c/f hood looks like a very good fit Skip? That car is going to be really quick and responsive. Awesome.

Just a bump for this, and a side note. Blown944 used to have a different name? Troppo? That's funny.

So, anyone want to update the list? Mine is still standing until I'm done with the new project.

Ah. I see. Well, it looks like many more on the list are taking the weight thing seriously and might want to add their names to the list?
