20v 5cyl turbo 944 project

Kept it porsche? You obviously have never taken much of your car apart. I have and almost every part of it is stamped vw/audi. My friend took the steering wheel and door handles and put them on to his VW pick up with no modifications. The only difference in aperance of parts is that the ones off my car had porsche logos. (but VW/Audi production stampings)
The 20v engine is actualy more apropiate for this car since the 951 is much more of an Audi than a Porsche. If you don't like audi stuff much you should sell your Audi, I mean "Porsche" 951.
The 8v engine is the mosty authenticly Porsche (or only), and worst part of these cars. Oh wait except for the balance shafts, thank you mitisubishi for making these engines possible.

LOL, you might be right , i guess that's why the a/c system works , ok put the R8 TT engine in your Audi fastback

I didn't think this was about the Audi v's anything? Just showing what someone else is doing and then we all jumped in with our questions. I guess if you have an extra, smaller piston, you are moving less rotational mass and therefore that might be of benefit. We are basically talking hypotheticals too. In our community 350whp-400whp is still relatively rare which is a bit shameful

The 20v engine is a fine engine. It has to, sinces porsche help a little with racing/RS2 version. Now as a replacement for the 951 engine, it wouldn't be my choice. For the money needed to fit it, managed to produce a good setup, I would go for a s2 head or 968 engine. It is far easy and cheaper. I mean, for 600Bhp or less, this engines are more then capable and reliable. Sure our engines are not perfect, But they are not crap either.
Now if you have money that is burning a hole in your wallet and you must have something different than the original engine, how about a 4.5/4.8 V8 from the Cayenne? in turbo or NA form, that would be cool. I know of a team in Gran Am that is using this engine making over 600Bhp anrestricted on NA form. They had it run a simulated race for more then 48 hours on a dyno with very little change from stock. There!, some food for the mind.

I thought it was her basement? You and tool need to get your insults straigtened out (it does take the two of you brainstorming together to come up with these things right, I couldn't imagine either one of you have the ability to come up with these extremely original insults all by yourself) The only thing I came up with researching Mr. Wayne is that he might be Bat Man, could it be.

Trivia. If any of you guys remember the old Batman TV series from the 60's you might have noticed that Batmans Batpole into the Batcave was thicker than Robin's. Now ain't that just a little bit of CaveCamp!

The Audi 20V is very popular for the 924 guys. Apparently it builds 240ft/lb of torque at 1900 rpm IIRC and max horsepower around 6000. Thats a pretty sweet powerband. I agree though, if you already have a 951 this isnt really worth your time. If you have something else - the Audi is an interesting canidate, especially if you can make your own engine mounts and find the 20v for less than a 951 motor. The 10V would not be worth it as the intake and exhaust are both on the passenger side. I doubt it would fit without the 20V crossflow head which is expensive as hell.

that's BS though janove freight from the US is very cheap, and with our dollar an lsx is cheaper, and internals are cheaper etc... hence why I'm sitting here writing the papers to "biltilsynet"
