I mean how to make my car get to 160 in a mile,

you are thinking of the timing belt on the 928, 160 miles long.

Reasonably, if you are just standing there, it's completely impossible.

hey Lorax - I think you are setting a pretty serious goal there.

Don't know full spec of your car but let me say this...... I am not certain my new setup VR stage3 kit (turbo, maf, injectors, etc, etc)with all supporting mods tial38,fabspeed 3" (no cat), ebc, forge bov, 3bar fpr, etc,etc will get it done or not

130mph-160mph pull will take a lot longer distance than you think...... and if you are running a stock turbo no matter the mods I would be quite surprised if you could pull better than 144mph

I intend to run Teaxas mile, but will certainly run standing mile next fall at Sandhills Open road Challenge..... until then I can only speculate.

so you goin to the texas mile or what?

yes I am planning to go. Im hoping to have about 350rwhp and 2800lbs when I get there.

My car is running a VR stage 2 that is currently dynoed at 300rwhp. I am looking for some improvement before then, if it freaking kills me.

So what WOULD it take to get there? Tryin' can't hurt a thing!

I hit 161 on an 87 951 with chips and a shimmed wastegate, but the stock 26/6. Took me a good five minutes but I made it.

With the mods you have all you need is a down hill grade. It is surprising how much a slight up hill grade will slow down your acceleration at high speeds.
