That happened to my rail. Cracks at the mounting points.
For my lines I have silicone and fiberglass insulation on them. When I had an oil fire The wiring harness was unharmed and it was wrapped in the same silicone and fiberglass stuff.

Burning Brakes
Just revisiting these issues and thought I would pass this along. 'Flyboy Accessories', heat rejection sleeves, two 1"x3', [perfect fit over stock sleeve from engine bay entrance to fittings] rated 1100 degrees. $43. SS zip ties, $1. Finished my ends with real metal duct tape, all in silver color. 10 minute job.
