GREAT meet guys, thanks to all who made it out there!
Plenty of pictures to come so check back often.
For now, here is a teaser:
Also, for the next meet, I'd like to get a bit of everyones input on how this one went, and what could be the same / different about it for next time. Also we are looking for a new location to mix it up some, and we need to decide on a good day and time.
Thanks!

I had a great time at Auto-X... I even made it into the same "Time-Zone" as Gary with the white 944S2... My last run was nice and controlled, and chipped almost a full second off. -I'll have to post a video if I can find out how!

Oh, I have some new slicks for the 951.
I didn't buy any new tires, -just that they had some 'skidpad' fun-runs at the end, so my Yoko-Onos look like a cross between Yul Brynner and Telly Savalas!

Meet the Mazda BK Motorsport Team Sat 03.08.08 5pm
I know it's not a Porsche thing, it is Sebring related, but just realized that some of you might be interested in this free event this evening at Classic Mazda East (on 436 between University and Colonial):
The LMP2 car is actually already there, it has been in the showroom all week. It was a great get together last year, so i am looking forward to attending again, mostly to see my fellow MSCC gone pro driver Gerardo Bonilla.
The Mazda BK Motorsport Team (LMP2, IMSA Lite), Tri-Point Mazda Motorsport Team (SPEED World Challenge), the Castrol- Mazda Speed Source Team (Rolex Grand-AM RX8) and several other teams from other series have committed to attending. The Mazda/ Lola LMP2- MZR-R Prototype Race Car will be unveiled with new BP Fuel livery due to a recent sponsorship agreement. A driver autograph session in the showroom including Ben Devlin, Jamie Bach, Gerrardo Bonilla (just to name a few) will be included. Team technicians, owners and engineers will also be in attendance.

Gentlemen where and when would you like the next 944 GTG to be held?
open to all suggestions.
So far the ideas are as follows:
1. new location to mix it up?
- not a shop, so that we can post flyers at other shops to attract more attendants (will work)
- somewhere to eat that has sufficient parking
2. make this a cruise meet?
- start at a meeting spot, take pictures, then take a scenic drive to a place to eat?
3. make this during the day on a Saturday?
also, posted up a few more pics in the picture thread, so check those out (just a couple)

Thought maybe you could use this as an excuse for another Central Florida Meet.:
Sunday April 13 is the MSCC Fall Mini-Prix on the Gainesville Raceway Test track. We think of it as an autocross with out the cones, lots of fun and generally higher speeds than we can reach on our home lot. Keef you would really like this and so would your 951. Pre-registration should be open this week. I'll post more info when it is available.
On another note, though not so porsche related,
This past Saturday I attended a pre-Sebring event which turned out to be even more cool than I had anticipated (there was a blue 986 there as well anyone from here?). Sat in the new B-K Motorsports Lola chassis LMP2 car, I met and chatted with Sylvain Tremblay, owner and driver the Speedsource RX8 that came in 1st place in the GT Class car at the recent Rolex 24-hr at Daytona. Even though both cars were only display shells it was still neat. The big news of the evening was the public announcement that our central Florida home boy Gerardo Bonilla would be joining Ben Devlin as the second driver of the LMP2 car for the 2008 season. That is a huge accomplishment for Gerardo and I am certain you will be hearing great things about him in the near future.
I sat in that LMP2 car, now I am relatively skinny, but man was it cramped in there!

+1 Great Idea Kevin... Ive done about 3 miniprix's at gainesville before, they are loads of fun!
I heard a few rumors though that this year they are limiting the attendance to MSCC members only, to keep the numbers down. Do you know if this is true? The previous years non-members were also able to just show up and register the day of, but I also see you MUST pre-register for this year's miniprix..?
Their website is always behind, and I never have the patience to go digging through however many pages there are about the miniprix this year on the autocross forum.
Anyway, I'd still whoop up on your 951's while sipping tea
