I would agree for 9 sec, 10 and 11 are obtainable with normal standard shift cars. Of course some are easier than others , 911's will do tens all day long and 9's if you are really serious about it , a 951 is tough regardless of the power as the launch is very difficult , too much and you break the axles , too little your 60' goes to hell a 951 running low 11's is a task .... 10sec's give the man a trophy

Yeah this is porbably true but who the hell bought their 951 so they could do quarter mile runs all day long? And for that matter who buys a 911 for 1/4 mile runs. The 1/4 mile is only 1 test of a cars ability and the 951 doesnt shine there but get it on the track and look out................or as many have found out.....at least in my area.......get it on a highway at 60+ and they are very hard to beat.

This should be one of the Mattias Sandgrens budget projects

I'm looking for a trophy.

Start with 12's this week.
11's next week.

Lots of Road Race time after that then,

10's this year.

perfect exaple how the above car with low 11 "potentail" (at a glance 400or so whp) does is it in 12.68 ??
i think the way fast is to set you soft cut / launch etc for the minimum rpm that will get a few psi of boost . start in second set .5 degree postive camber on the back (zero under load) and of corse detroy the clutch in the process.
I'm shattered to hear what a drag car a 911 is . i must be weary of them .

I'm shooting for a mid or high 13 this Wednesday at Infineon raceway. I ran a 14.1 @ 101 a couple weeks ago on 13ish psi. My Lindsey Racing 4" exhaust is coming on Monday (replacing stock exhaust with stock cat & 2 1/4" Flowmaster). I still haven't dyno tuned this beast, so the ignition advance is set very conservative! One trick I have up my sleeve is that I run very little advance at high MAPs below 3500rpm, its sort of like firing a rocket at your turbine (very fast spoolup!) If I actually sack up and run 15psi with the new exhaust I expect to hit at least 105 at the traps and hopefully drop my ET's safely into the 13s. Keep in mind that this engine is 100% stock except for a Joe P MBC and Tial Wastegate.

wow. TMS951. The car next to you cut a 1.7 60'!!! Damn. What was that a Camaro or Mustang?
You almost caught up to him in the end. That would have been great. Just a HAIR faster and you would have had the light. I think It's cooler when you win on the big end. It just shows extreme horsepower superiority.

It was a stock turbo STI with about every other mod on it. Boost was around what I was running maybe a little higher. He had PS2 tires and left the tire pressure alone. He got my on reaction time and crossed the finish line first but I just beat him on ET and was much higher on MPH for such close ETs. Just goes to show what AWD does at the drag strip. I have taken my audi A4 with about 200whp and done 1.99 60' with all season tires on 15" rims, the ET was 14.2 at 96.7 mph. All you do is rev it up high and drop the clutch, off it goes.

That's why 1/4 mile results are worthless from my point of view, if that had happened from a roll, tms would have obliterated the other car. I personally can't modulate the my clutch in my 951 for a good off the line start, I either spin the tires violently or stall. Weird I can actually pull off the line faster in my punny 180hp z4.

I'm sure he was thinking of the Dyno you posted. 417WHP.
But crazy enough.. This puts you THIRD fastest on this list. Updated.

Why weren't you running full boost at the track? They have race gas there.!!!

Went to the track. 15psi was starting point. 4-5 runs, my best was a 12.8 @ 113mph.
It was tougher than I thought. I have a on/off feel to the new clutch. Very hard to modulate. I bogged most times. (Didn't want to break anything on first few runs) but revved higher and that ended up being the best.
I then turned up the boost to 18-19psi. Revved up. Launched. Smoked the tires. (effectively heating up the NT555R's making them very sticky) shifted to 2nd. Spun. Let off. Got back on and then....Broke the CV cage. Those Suck. they are weak as hell. I heard you guys, but man. That was ridiculous. As time goes by I realize just how spoiled I was by Honda.
I"m down for a week, but Stronger axles are now in the works. It will be fast with 22psi.

60' 2.223
330 5.728
1/8 8.486
MPH 90.28
1000 10.834
1/4 12.829
MPH 113.15

The low psi is still fast due to my weight.

i said 400 wheel chickens looking at the lumpy nose as people seem to get 350 at the wheels and then upgrade the intercooler .
so i took guess . and when he's running 22psi and moonshine i guess i'm not far off
