I have to say that those times and even more the trap speeds seem very quick for the level of mods on some of those cars. Well done!

My 924 has EFI conversion (VEMS v3.3), coil-on-plug ignition, 440cc Low-Z injectors, full 3" SS exaust, 951 IC, so it has just those mods to keep the 9.3:1 CR old engine alive and kicking.

My trap speed and ET was not measured with gtech, but a professional timing system on the drag-race. One shouldn't rely too much on the gtech.

sorry its not my Nine51 but my best time via Gtech was 13.0 119 mph in my 1976 bmw 320 turbo LPG on 50dollar tyres with total build cost of 1800US dollars car included yeh it was a high trap speed yes it spun wheels full track . funny thing is if you can get your car doing real low 12's consistantly you are almost invinceable on the street . motorbikes are vertical trying to beat you .also most people in say an E55 or M6 have got all the electronic magic set up rong for best drag time buy the time they take you serious your gone

this was actually quite fast on 1/8 and 1/4 GT40 AR 0.99 exhaust

um IHI RHB5 13 ' 4" dump 3" exhaust 10.5:1 compression 14lbs of boost Subaru charge cooler cooled with an ac condensor and lpg converter with coolant set up to go down to minus 30 C. and a microtech mt8 stand alone running ignition

OT.
This one ran 14.2 @133 mph the one and only time it was ran ST, We lost one of the speed sensors at the line , the ecu shut the engine down after launch , i had to re-start turn of the TC system then go , hence the 14.2@133 mph ...
the power output at the time was 545 WHP/ 630 Ft/tq, Engine Alpina B10

Now back to your regular 951 viewing .....

You wouldn't beleive (Maybe you would!) The huge amount of info I pulled up when I did a search for "1/4 Mile"

Unfortunately. Most of it is Blahbitty Blah. Nothing real. I'm off to the track right now. I'm un-prepared like always. Had to work late. Maybe rain. maybe not. I'll go and find out.

I will put up my official list based on as much fact on this list (best I could find) Tomorrow afternoon.

Shake down runs tonight if I can run... And As fast as I can go on Sunday. (Scoreboard actualy lights up times on Sunday. - video.)

Well that sucked. I must have a pretty good idea of how ST and TMS felt. All I got out of that was dnagerous driving in a torrential downpour. ... no times. Again. Are there Porsche gods that get upset when someone wants to Drag race their cars? They need to lighten up and help.

ok. Sunday maybe.. If work allows. I'm so dissappointed, I have no energy for this 1/4 mile list right now.

My 60' was 2.07 BTW it isn't a 951 but a 944.

Give me some air up here and then I'll be looking for some good numbers, but it is hard to get these things moving when the air measures over 7500 ft more times than not


I'll be moving up that list real soon I had more than a few problems and only 2 runs that day.

The next day will be a full test day not a friday race night.

You are right the 951 is not the best quarter horse but that can change look at where the Supras were back in the late 90's

Oh damn. I laughed hard at that. yep. It was tough to post. That's why it was so frustrating to not get out to the track. Maybe 944 fest will change things?

in the real world its hard to get into the 11's in a manual car i toy with the idea of building an auto for a couple of good timeslips
