corrected crank hp for ST's beast.
used 10 % loss for one and 15% loss for the other. now they are both at 10%
not that anyone cares what a computer thinks... I just thought it was interesting that they were both so close.

If you look at the overlay of the 2 dyno sheets , TMS is a much slower car for drag racing , if for auto -x, TMS power curve would be more suited and will do better here than tool , same as for a tight road course , emphasis on tight.
for drag racing no contest Tool has the correct power curve , if he has the traction! if both cars have to roll out due to a lack of traction TMS times will be close or possibly faster than tool , not the MPH just the ET. if they both have equv traction no contest , for ST.....
TMS TQ and HP falls away this will hurt him a bit on the MPH , ST really needs to spin his engine to 8000 , a drag start favors ST , a 45 mph roll would favor TMS for awhile .....

The only thing that really helps is slicks, and we all know what happens then.
But traction drops the ET down to 9.2 at 157. once maybe.

- "Two motors with the same exact tq/hp curve" what are you looking at??? dynos, are not even ballpark torque/hp similarities. Look at dynos again and then tell me how they will "move the same mass in the same manner"

?? Camshaft profile does not only effect HP. Camshaft specs (Valve Lift, duration, ramp speed, overlap) determine rpm range AND torque at all points.
I leave you to your thoughts.

I think, Tool’s cure is better suited to drag racing. He can launch at a relatively low rpm and have less traction issues, then by the time the boost is up, the car is already moving at a fairly good pace.
Vast majority of the drag races are won and lost at the launch.

Well, today is the big day and I for one can not wait. Two amazing cars and two very knowledgable personalities pitted in a testosterone infused competition to see what our cars are ultimately capable of on a drag strip. Good stuff...very good stuff.
You guys rock regardless of the outcome!

Oh and one more request:
NO vids on Youtube, please! With enough people going to this event, I think we can all think of better ways to host video
Good luck to the both of you! Yeah TMS! <-- (I just thought the underdog needed some love, too!)

At this point there is 50/50 chance of rain tonight and the dragstrip might be closed. Tool and I are in contact and we both plan on going unless there is a down pore and they close it down. We will keep you updated, and remember we took this into account and there is already a rain dy set up.
