Forget what it is for now, do you like it?

Default okay, I'll bite...

I think I actually like the smaller spoiler, but what's the story? Did it come from a 924? I don't know that I've ever seen one that small.

How about some better pics of the spoiler? Does that one have the embossed PORSCHE like the stock spoiler?

Yeah, it makes the cars profile from the side more distinct. Pic 3 shows it off much better than 1. Lets see if glass stays attached to the frame longer with less downforce.

Check out the big-brain on rickb20! . . .

'87 924S and, yes, it has the debossed logo in the lip. I've actually run my 951 with just the glass back there, no spoiler, and really liked how it looked. It accentuates the "hips" thing going on back there.

Default just a lucky guess

Did you transplant the entire 924S hatch, or just the wing? If just the wing, how difficult was it to do so?

That smaller wing looks even better the longer I look at it.

Although I think the late S2/968 hoop spoiler is the best look for the 94x cars.

I did just the 3 pieces of the spoiler, although the whole hatch will work.

I like it because even a well healed porsche-geek will not notice it as out of place (much less a CHP), but tones down the 80's flavor of the car.

I am trying to keep the car looking completely stock and I dont think this change gives that away. <<well, trying to convince myself anyway>>

Matt, looks great. What you need now is a euro rear bumber, that would fit nicely with your 924 rear spoiler
US spec bumber looks a bit heavy with smaller hatch spoiler.

Cheers, Olli! I have an OEM one that needs repair and a new strip. I'm deciding whether to fill the holes and go no-strip or stick to the stock european look. Leaning toward no strip.

I will try to get other angle pics of the rear soon. The sun was a little too far down on those pics and they are too grainy as a result (funny how digital mimics high-speed (ASA) film in this instance).

This afternoon, I'm gluing a new boot on the shifter and then smogged by tax day!
