LY7U/ LY7U Stone Grey Metallic on Linen or bone -not sure on that, but I have a Dealer brochure from '86 listing Stone Gray Metallic as 8U. I could give you the Dupont Chromabase dial in for what the painter matched it if you'd like. I had to order a quart when I shot the underside of the hood.

Just came across this thread Matt. You've done a really great job and saved a good car from Lart. That's a lot of work that most people would never tackle. Hopefully all goes well with smog and you'll have it on the next run. Looking forward to seeing you and the car...maybe mine will be done also...yeah when monkeys poop rolled quarters!

I took the car to a friends shop in Santa Rosa to smog and it rejects it as needing a test only. The way he explained it, I guess the Custodians of the Golden State hold a lottery and choose a certain number of cars to go directly to test only. He also theorized that the state is cracking down on 80's Porsches (?) This is anecdotal only, but I thought an interesting point. Porsches are thought of as air cooled cars Perhaps it has something to do with being off the system for 3 years. At any rate, it's just means 2 steps forward, one back for my campaign.
