Just a stupid question but if we can have piston squirters why can't we have bearing squirters? Or something along those lines.

Well...bearings are fed through the main oil galley. The problem with #2 rod bearing is that both balance shafts AND turbo are fed from the same line, when all other rod bearings have each their own line.

One more picture, with some goodies.

EDIT. Deleted the picture because of upload capacity..there were just KEP Stage II PP, 4 puck clutch, Wasted Spark coil, TiAL dump valve etc.

Well I never knew that. Seems like someone could come up with some way short of dry sumping that could deliver more oil especially to the #2 bearing through some sort of similar system to an oil squirter? Having said that I am endeavoring to dry sump my car for some of those reasons.

Pete, do you have any more photos with the piston squirters? We are looking at installing them on my car which has been wet sleeved but are wondering about where the fixing points are on some of the cylinders as there is not much meat left on the block after boring.
Patrick

Sorry Pete I initially had Anders name there. At work, in hurry etc...

Some very serious effort there and very pretty. One interesting thing about that photo is the balance belt. It looks to be almost hanging from the cogs. Seems wrong, huh.....Bruce

Pete had all bolts & nuts "yellow passived", so they are replated with the same stuff what factory used

I'll try to post more pics of those during Easter holidays, PM me your e-mail...youll get them then directly.

Still the top view is like in those pics. Bottom end is located in the oil groove of main bearing.

EDIT: Yes, most of the parts are re-plated, some new nuts and bolts I had to buy. Installation process is now in the standstill, I'm waiting for my engine mount to be finished. It has to be machined to accommodate my new turbo.

One question: Does anyone know if there's an alternator that is smaller in length and diameter and would fit into present position ( with A/C compressor, that is ), I need some space for 4" turbine inlet...
