Haha, I knew i was gonna catch flack for the how much power do you want comment. I find it amazing ppl can push big power out a 4 banger....isnt pushing the envelope what Dr. Ing wanted for his cars? The new vettes are very nice cars. Its good to know they are FINALLY thinking about something besides, a big honkin, iron heavy *** v8. I cant help but think, the new developments, are hugely inspired by german engineers. Ever since chrysler took over benz, it seems american cars have gotten better......while german cars seem to have been cheapened! Hopefully germans will never produce disposable crap that GM does!!! Gotta keep ya in that finance loop somehow....lol.

Jeremy,
At the moment, I live on 59th ave and northern. Would be pretty sweet to know another 951 enthusiast in town. Ive owned 2 cars in my life....both 944's. one n/a and now my 951. The plan is to do a full restoration...mechanically perfect right now....except for the ps rack I just replaced. Turns out 20th street sold me a bad rack, didnt figure it out til i got it in! I think im gonna buy a reseal kit from rennbay and do it myself for 70 bucks, and get my money back! Other than that, some paint/bodywork, and a few interior fixes and its mint, mostly stock with a weltmeister chip. eventually i plan on a aftermarket exhaust, the goal is to be finished by the new year.

Hey I'm on 67th just north of Cactus. This Saturday there will be 3 to 5 other Rennlisters at my house. We're starting 2 motor builds and a cam tower reseal. You should stop by and check it out.

Yeah I forgot to mention you may not want to back away from your car too quickly. Ask Azbanks.

It's only gay if you push back right?

LMAO, if it means learning more about my 951...ill take my chances. The 951 will prolly still be in the garage on Sat. Im not really trusting, 20th streets parts, especially after ive wasted time and money on their first rack. Which means I most likely wont get the kit from rennbay til sometime next week.

Yeah, Jeremy's as gay as they come. His wife's ok with it. He's not real smart either. He wasn't kidding about letting almost every 951 owner in town drive his Z06. He'll even let dumb-a$$ drivers like me take it for a spin. I just took it around the block and over-heated the clutch. The thing shifts like a truck but it is fast. He was very cool about the clutch. He did try to use it as an excuse to get sexual favors from me. I keep telling him no, my wife is the only one for me. Even if I was into guys, he'd have to shave the moustach and his back.

It's my car that is getting the reseal(unless I get garage privleges pulled for this post). I'm planning on getting to his house at 8 or a little before. I can pick you up if you don't have running vehicle. I'd be at your place by 7:45. Shoot me PM if that works.

That twin turbo kit on the vette looks a little iffy. There's gotta be a better place to put that wastegate.

Tony- Your car is amazing. There really is no comparison, nor anyway for mere words to describe how these cars drive with the LS swap.

Are you still running the same headers as in your pictures?

You got that right.

The LS engine takes a great sports car and turns it into a flat-out bad-*** bully.

Every time I come to a stop light, it's like I'm looking for a street fight. That's the only way I know how to explain it. The car is wicked evil for sure.

The people that discount the LS V8 engine conversion, which used to include myself, have absolutely zero idea of what the car turns into. The difference is that much of a night-and-day comparison.

As you know, you'd have to drive it to understand it. That's why I have a standing invitation to any (almost any, as there are a couple of idiots here that simply aren't welcome) Rennlister who wants to experience the bad-*** 944 V8 for themselves.

BTW, I'm getting ready to do a 968 wide body, LS conversion with a twin turbo LS V8!

And.. yes, I'm still running the same headers. But the exhaust system connecting to the headers, back to the single 3" cat-back has been completely reworked.

cause its way more expensive and harder to make big power.

you can make 430-450rwhp in a lsx motor and it drive like that ll day long and not cost you a cent.

a porsche motor however always costs.

As it indicates that's about 40 less RWHP then you quoted and my questioning was the 475 BHP you quote on your site with the nearly stock long block. I belive the LG motorsports G5x3 cam is better suited for that application and the AFR 205's see nice gains by cleaning up the bowls a bit. I expect to dyno 480 to 490 on 91 octane with a similar set-up. I do believe your exhaust situation will limit you a bit.
got a buddy running a gx3 cam 225 heads all other goodies on a ls2 making 505rwhp on 93. Pretty crazy what those motors can do.

It seems like this is the way to go gobs of parts for these motors, from aftermarket ecu heads cam and more.
The only concern I have is will the transmission hold up cv joints?

The 5.3l that turn 270-290 rwhp stock run about $1k for a good used longblock. It just doesn't get any cheaper than that.
