True, but that said someone who went through the expense would have reworked the transaxle to cope with the output. I don't know too much about tranny stuff so I have no clue as to what it would cost. I got your point though, very valid
I still wanna see it

Actually it is interesting that the engine has a unique exhaust sound given that, different to most V8 installations, it does not have an X-pipe or dual exhaust but rather a Y were the headers are tied together and then it is single pipe to the back. It does not sound as sharp as in for example, a Z28ss but a more exotic sounding wail like the 928.

The base for the Ferrari sound is the flatplane crank layout. 99,99% of all Modern V8's out there are crossplane design.
Basically the crossplane is in natural balance but needs a lot of balancing weights on the crank, where the flatplane can be made light but will have vibration problems.
They have different ignition order and that is what makes the difference in noise.
The flatplane design produces the sound of 2 inline 4-cylinder engines.
The crossplane design promotes the burble sound of an old classic Muscle car.
I researched this a while back when I was thinking about building a "kit" car.. but the only flatplane V8 in production I could find was Ferrari and TVR. Not the average engine found on a scrapyard
So... just get ahold of a flatplane V8, keep the stroke to a minimum, design a set of 4-1 headers and top it off with a individual throttle body short runner intake and you will be in engine noise heaven!
