I still would love to race any v-8 944, maybe even more than a worked 928.
Nobody ever takes me up on it, though.

IFC is not Fiberwerks, It is INFINITE FIBERWORKS CO. Thier web site is www.allporscheracing.com

I have thier rear bumper and side skirts, the fit and finish of thier stuff is ten times better than the GT-racing stuff.

Excellent - we will do the 1/4 and a roll-on starting at 100.
Both races within 10 minutes.

Is that your car that is making 425 RWHP (or something like that?) @ 23 PSI?

yes it is my car, right now it is sitting in my garage and has not been dynoed in its current state. It had a Tec3r installed by scott gomes and I got it back the end of november, I tuned it a little on the street since then but it needs much more tuning and some dyno time, at this point it drives well but has alot more left in it. My goal is 450whp at 23psi on race gas. 23psi because that is about the limit of the turbo (60-1 hifi), day to day on pump I will run it 17psi and hope to make around 360-375 whp. I also hope to make 350 wtq under 3500rpm, which from my initial impressions seems doable. The turbo makes 15psi under 3000rpm in third gear, this is still with a full T4 hot side. I will dyno tune it as early as early feb. and as late as mid march. This winter I an finishing the intirior and redoing what is left of the wiring harness. The car when done will also hopefully weigh 2600lbs. wet.

Good luck with your goals, keep us posted as too. If you are a regular at Lime Rock, let me know when the season rolls around.

Yes.
I propose we measure the time difference between the 2 races 100-150 and 1/4 mile.
Lowest overall wins.

I mean since you're already there why not right? For a over 1,000 hp car I can see the legitimacy of the V8, I'd rather see a TT V8 from a Porsche in there but if you're over 1,000 usable hp who would care? (It would have to handle like a Porsche though, none of this straight line crap).
The chances of the tranny braking greatly increased once you are approaching 500 ft/lbs of torque. Most of the hybrids HP are limited by how many transmissions one person can buy in a year. If this wasn't the case a person could go way big with the HP using the V-8
