Thumbs up Never brag about your true HP. Dedicated to the hard core 951 fans.

Well in my frantic search for parts car, I went to see the following car;
https://rennlist.com/forums/showthre...light=torrance

The kid who is selling the car is in Uk and the car is stored in the following company: http://www.ecodetuning.com located in the City of Torrance California.

When I arrived to see the car, I noticed they were a tuning shop for VW. They were actually working in a VW GTI for TEIN. It seems that this company has many reviews by magazines, etc. Well, I asked the guy how much power the VW GTI was doing. He said not much, it was more like a show car, then he proceeded to show me a Audi station wagon which he claimed it was a 12 second wagon and many other s4’s with 400-500awhp. I bragged about my car and said it was putting down 400rwhp. (you all know that my car was dinoed at 350rwhp at 19psi.) I continued to brag like a idiot of how I can smoke many high powered v8 cars. Well I am getting ready to leave and one of the techs approaches me and asks if it is true that I am running 400rwhp. I said yes ( lie big lie,) He asked if I wanted to run against his Subaru Legacy GT (his car is putting close to 450 to the wheels) We went to a commercial area is 8:30pm and the blvd is empty my oldest son is with me and he watches in disbelief as I get demolished by at least 3-4 car lengths from a roll in 2nd gear from 45mph to end of 3rd gear. As I approach to the guy , he has this smiling face, (there is no way in HELL this is happening to lart951) the humiliation fills the air, his eyes shinning with cockiness, but my 45 years old nuts (much bigger and hanging much lower than his) are full of fury. I asked him if we can run again, but I did something without precedent, I cranked my boost to 23psi and I didn’t even have my notebook with me. So I just adjusted manually (the power perfect 2nd and 3rd *****) all the way to the right (more fuel) not knowing if this will be enough fuel to compensate for 23psi. My car could blow up in a cloud of smoke, but I will not let my 951 brothers live in shame. Then we go for the 2nd run. My car is unrecognizable, it pulls, it twists it wants to go. On the 2nd run we are head to head I started to pull softly but we stopped after 3rd gear was over. The guy’s face had changed, I am the one smiling. My 20 year old warrior has not let me down, hail the 951! The other guys at the shop can not believe the story! I actually kept up with a 450awhp highly modified Subaru legacy that was supposed to leave me in the dust. As we speak my car needs fine tuning. From now on 23psi it is. Long live the 951.

Happy Thanksgiving to all

Lart

Btw my A/F ratio went up to 13:1 for one second at 6500rpm's but the head gasket took it well, it was cold and I was running 20% xylene

Careful. That 'plenty of luck' statement might just come back to haunt you now.

Careful Luis, dial back the boost and keep it safe......

Curious though, next time if you go to the dyno, let's see what 23psi would put out....

Good Kill! As soon as I get my new turbo in, I'm going to go hunting for that SRT-4 and get some retribution.
