Help me figure out this boost problem
I've done a few searches and can't find anything with similar problems.
I've noticed that my stock boost gauge doesn't go above 1.4 bar while driving. Could the gauge be bad? I don't think I have a vacuum leak. Hmmm my exhaust goes have a couple holes but they're after the muffler. The Cat isn't clogged, its new(er). Bad KLR chip?
Any Bay Area people want to stop by this weekend and help me figure this out?

It could be gunk in the KLR line. Disconnect it at the intake and at the KLR and blow air through from the KLR end and see if anything comes out. Since it's semi-transparent (translucent) you might be able to see if there is anything in it on the top side.

with the key on the first click it reads the right 1. bar. I think my diverter valve is bad and I've been looking all over for a 993 unit. I was thinking that this boost problem could be from the holes that i recently patch under my battery. (Water leak above KLR).

You may want to consider replacing your BOV valve with an Evolution Motorsports billet piston valve from paragon products.

Does the car feel slow, like it only has 1.4 bar, or does it feel fast, but only show 1.4 bar?
If it feels slow, check KLR line, put small vise-grip or something else that closes the line from cycling valve to wastegate to eliminate that the CV is not functioning.

JUSt had this problem- at idle the gauge should be all the way to the left- mine would kinda be between left and center...full boost only showed like 1.4.... line to KLR came loose, and i had just tightened it when i put the computers in!!!! Check that.
