Stephen, have you any reason to suspect that you're seeing any knock with the E85? Have you had any / many counts? Not sure if you saw a recent thread where there was some conjecture over ign timing with E85 either?

ps....good luck with the impending new order

Above 30psi I get alot of knock hits yeah. At lower boost levels I could increase timing for more power with E85 but I have no way to control it ATM. Idealy I would love something that pulls timing as boost is increased near or above 30psi.

..and thank you!! She's due any time now.

What is your timing advance at 30psi?

Got my Curtis installed today..I might take it back out and see if I can install the reset to a momentary button, an LED for backlight like Eniac stated, and an LED 2 second light for when it counts.....but I did manage to rack up 35 knocks today, before some more MAP fine tuning..

last run gave me 2 knocks, both on shifts.... at WOT no knock, so I advanced the timing some more.... re-image the Ostrich tomorrow and make some more runs...

Damn I need to find my DC-AC adapter..my laptop dies after an hour or so....or just put a In dash PC in... hmmmmm

I just ordered 2 more counters to fit back light to and see what is needed for reset...

Hmm - If you have stock timing, then you are running something like this at WOT:

I'm hoping to get a Tec3R or similar at some point once I can afford to buy one.

MPD47 / Mike was selling his for what seemed like a good deal. Also the new LINK G4 will have individual knock control per cylinder and traction control.
Just something to keep you going when you're sleep deprived over the next year or two.

It is a great deal I hate to miss. Believe me, I was tempted but I'm saving that money for any last minute unexpected baby stuff we may need. The wifey-to-be would kill me...well more like throw our dishes at me until I am at least blinded in one eye...if I spent this money on that right now.

The G4 has been growing on me the more I read about it. Whatever I end up with I will be looking to do it as cheap as possible since I can do the sensor mount fab work and all the wiring myself...even while sleep deprived.

Assuming the MaxTune SW is correct, then yes those numbers should be total ignition advance @ WOT...

Why is the timing so advanced at low RPMs?
