I am interested!!
You have just addressed all of the leaks in my exhaust
My headers are all cracked, one almost completely free of the flange, and my crossover pipe is all buggered up from the PO nailing a speedbump, so it doesn't seal at all.
I would buy one for $800 sans-coating.
If I buy one without coating, do I need to coat it prior to heat wrapping it?...
Personally I'd rather just heat wrap it. Much cheaper, and it can be removed.

Excellent guys. I lke the wrapping MUCH better myself: works fantastic & they even sell it at Advanced parts now (I saw last week)!
Last thing: Wastegate flanges: it appears many have switched to Tail (good choice), but what size & shoudl I incorporate different/Tial flanges into this design??
Mark.

Couldn't you keep a stock like flange as those with Tials have the adapter plates and those with the either the Lindsey or wanting to keep an OEM type WG could do so?

$800 without coating is still good. I would rather have the options of coating it as I please. I will also add a few EGT bungs so I prefer to do that pre-coating.
As far as the WG flange. I would guess that 99% of people making this upgrade already have a Tial WG or they will be upgrading to one in the future. Your easiest option would be to just use a slip fitting like the factory x-over and allow people to either reuse the factory piece that connects to the WG or buy one from you that adapts different WGs. That way you would please everyone and it would ensure a good fit.

Wrap looks like poo compared to a nice coating

800 is a lot of money, but I think I will want one, so post up when their ready! I'd let you use my car, but I'm a bit far
Please leave some wg flanges stock for us using the tial 46mm, or the lindsey wg!

theedge, I agree that wrap looks terrible when compared to coating, but my intentions are entirely purpose-based.
Plus, wrap is removeable, and if I decide to shine up everything in my engine bay, then I can remove the wrap and have the pipes coated
I think they should be offered with an EGT bung, and twin O2 sensor bungs. That would make me really happy. I plan to add an EGT sensor.
I would be willing to pay $20 or $30 to have the EGT bung added if necessary.
As far as the wastegate flange goes... could we do a slip fit or something with v-band clamps to make it interchangeable?... I have a stock wastegate right now, but if it turns out to be leaky as well, I'll upgrade to a tial (probably the 38mm).
