BTW, good excuse for the high prices though..........BUT.............1.75"-2.00" 321SS piping can be bought in 30, 45, 60, 75, and 90 degree bends (with different bend radiuses to choose from) for between $17 and $32 each, depending on leg lengths........

d993; where did you get those prices? this got me interested so i did some searching and managed to find a few more suppliers, but i don't know what their prices are;

http://www.indiamart.com/technosteel/
tim; this might be a good time to shop around again. i'm sure i speak for many others when i say i would love to get your equal length exhaust if only the price was closer to my reach and justification.

I'd like to start with a tri-y set up that's a direct replacement for the OEM headers. If later on, I decide to modify further then I'd spend the extra for a stainless equal length system. Steel will still last several years and with regular use wouldn't rust internally. Externally could be ceramic coated.
The problem is that is would weight more then 50lbs and your studs in your head will snap.

I said u-bends(meaning a 180 degree bend) at $60.You are saying 90 degree bend at $32 a piece. If I use your prices, the header materials cost more then I qouted. Please continue. This is enlightening.

I checked out all these sites. We are a distribuotr for SPD and they are the only ones that have anything useful as far as building these headers. There prices are in-line with Burns. One of the pages had collectors that were 1.25" inlet which is way small and they wanted $280 bucks for them on 304SS.So I will continue to shop but I havent seen much and besdies that I like to stick with the best service and materials possible. This is the only way I would feel comfortable giving a lifetime warranty on our 321SS headers. If you want nice parts made in America that will perform and last, you will pay for it.I started out as most of you guys here .This was a hobby and beleive me when I say, I am not getting rich doing this crap! If I have to lower the prices any further, I might as well go get a job working for someone else.So until the mighty metal man comes down from the sky and lowers the cost of materials, dont expect a price decrease from us anytime soon. Now once in awhile we will put some of these things on sale and you can save a couple hundred bucks. We try to be as fair as possible. But we cannot give these parts away.
Good luck to you Mark.Hopefully it will work out for you.Take care.

The justification is 30-56 horsepower on top of what you get once all the other typical upgrades have been done.

Tomorrow, gotta get some sleep now.
And please, no selective quoting........I said between $17 and $32.
Yes, I can piece togetther a 321SS header for under $150, plus another $50 or so for the crossover pipe and wastegate connector. Add about $30 for flanges and $150 for labor.
That makes $380 in total cost.
Add another $230 for 3.5" piping from turbo back, about $150 for labor, and $100 for a good Magnaflow 3.5" muffler, and that makes it $480.
Now that's a total of $860 for a COMPLETE 321SS header, crossover pipe, downpipe, and rest of the exhaust with muffler!
Now tell me honestly that you guys aren't making a MINIMUM of 100% profit on your header and complete exhaust system, and I'll let you ride my pet unicorn.

Tim, could they be made with normal header steel tubing as a replacement for the OEM primaries?

Simple - its a crap load of work to weld up a good set of headers. And you have to be a first rate TIG welder to do it right. Too much heat in the wrong place and the whole header structure will be stressed. I would guess that it takes at least a full day to just weld up a set of the SFR stage 2 headers (I have a set here...and I wouldn't want to weld a set like this!).

D993, If you can make anything of any quality for the price point you are talking about, I'll buy 10 of them AND I'll toss in a free ride on MY pet unicorn.
Go troll someone else's thread.
