I finally got the suspension off of the '87 and installed as well - Charlie Arms, Tarrett sways, Turbo S brakes, new braided lines.

I also got a pair of the BBS wheels mounted up with some scrubs for fitment purposes. Fronts look fine, but the rears are off by 1/2" - the rub the fender. So I am going to have to trade/sell my 3.5" outer halves for 3" halves and my 8" inner halves for 9" inner halves. Just for kicks here they are compared to the 245's and 255's on Cup 2s that I have on the '87.

Next up is to finally do a finish coat of paint on the interior, install my Factory Tuned lightened pully/grear set and get the engine all buttoned up.

Skip, what size are the wheel and tyres on those BBS rears? Offset? Do you have much inside clearance? What neg are you running?

Thanks Darwin. The Charile arms are truly works of art. I have had those on my '87 for around 4 years now, and when I pulled them off, I just wiped them down with a paper towel and the looked like new. I have never seen a better anodizing job on any part.

They are 315s on 11.5" wheels. I don't know the offset - would have to calculate it, but as I said right now it is off by 1/2". I will be running about neg 2.25 deg camber in the rear. I have plenty of clearence on the inside - couple of inches.

Hah - I bet you did. I'm surprised you let those go and that was a pretty solid deal as well.

So in reality if the offset was more suited you could fit those under the rears yes? Is your car an early offset vehicle and have you done any changes to widen the rear bodywork? In other words, with the right wheel could you fit those tyres under a standard car? Anyway the fronts are more of the issue I guess if you want to keep them close to the rears in size.

Hah - there is nothing stock about the bodywork other the the roof, A and C pillars, and rear taillight panel. The rear has GT Racing widebody quarters and can run 335's. The front fenders are Racers Group carbon fiber and while "standrd" width don't have any sort of lip and can run 275's. I am running 315's but ended up guessing wrong on the wheel half widths which is what determines the offset when using BBS motorsports wheels. The tub is an '86 sunroof delete but the suspension is all late offset - late offset Charile Arms with Turbo S hubs and spindles, and Turbo S rear trailing arms.

Thanks Skip. That gives a good idea of what is going on. What are your feelings about keeping the front and rear tyre widths pretty close. I guess by that I mean no more than 30mm different, if not closer.
