Dfast: how high of a fuel pressure can we run and not become a static pressure issue???
as pressure goes up, the capacity of the fuel pump goes down. the fuel pressure you can run depends somewhat on the size of the fuel pump.

toddk911, I don't know the exactl limits but I've turned my fuel pressure up to 53psi but the only thing it did was not let my boost go over 1 bar (20psi).
Originalsterm, I believe you are right about needing a bigger fuel pump and I have one as well. I am upgrading to bigger injectors. How big is going to determine if I do anything else like swap out my chips, exhaust, etc.

You might want to check a little more into what injectors you have.

DFASTEST, I know you payed to have your car built, and dont spend any wrenching time on it. But your lack of knowledge of what is on your car and what it can or cannot run makes me question your sanity when playing with the little black dial. To say you're putting your engine on the line is a bit of an understatement.

There is a LOT of room for improvement in Joe's setup.
He is using a triple k diesel turbo, for God's sake!!
If he ever gets a modern compressor and good management, he'll be up around 500 RWHP on pump gas - 600+ on race.

For now I would leave the boost alone, however.
Like I have told you before Joe - the past engine problems were from improper management not from bad mechanicals.

MPD47, I don't quite get what you're saying. Tool, I know the motor has much more potential. I'm already 500 whp but 600 sounds really good. Have to change a few things first though. Oh, and I have a hybrid kkk. It blows pretty hard and now that you mention it, do you know what cfm John's stage V blows?

That will make 6-700 RWHP - but it will REALLY do it.
Joe - the hybrid kKK's are nothing like the modern Garrets - not even on the same planet.
Don't let anyone who sells strictly KKK bull**** you.

ImagineAuto is using kkk in 930, Kevin at Imagine says the wheels they use now are nothing like the old kkk turbos of past.

Yes - its common knowledge that Borg warner is making modern products.

The majority of wheels in use in 951's made by kKK, however, are the dinosaur type - like Joe's.

I'm still wondering what injectors he really has. Who dyno'd your car, Joe? Was it the same people who set it up, Powerhaus?

Kevin his stuff was all set up by Powerhaus. He doesn't screw around with their set up. You'd be better off asking them. Joe got it figured out. Let them do it, and go drive the **** out of it. He's a gear haed but not a wrench turner. I believe that dyno was done not too long after the car was broken in about three years ago. Think about all of the new options available now. He's looking into them all.
