I'd also be interested if the price is right...even though I have a relatively new one.

Nice winter project for next season, too.

list of the interested:
charleslo (need it asap, car on fire any time)
macnewma
zerMATT951
Red1
TRP951 (probably in a month)
Rob 3
tconn
ccy944 (would need it sooner than later)
SD Porsche Fan (if the price is right)
Jason Judd (if the price is right)

We now have 10 people who expressed interest.
I talked with Mike Lindsey last Wednesday. He gave me a discount of
10% off for 5 orders and
15% off for 10 orders
But he said they are pretty flexible on the pricing, and we can further discuss for more discount if the order is larger then ten.
I think we can get $100 off the official price of $599 now that we most likely have ten orders. Could we manage to leverage a $130 off if we have 15 orders?
Mmm... someone please talk with lindsey.

Wellll, possibly, but that's a bit of a stretch, you're right. And how can it flow more fuel than the engine is using? I know there's a return line, but is there always excess fuel circulating through?

Among all who are interested, only me is not a Rennlist member.

jgporsche, I have received you PM. Lindsey Racing said that they are waiting for the John's approval, before they can post the GB info.

How much discount are you guys looking for?
Is a 100 off for ten orders enough? Or do we need more discount to get people interested?
What discount do you guys expect when we get 15 orders? 150 off? 130 off?

I'll likely fab my own rail in the next month or two.

I might make up 2-3 extras while I'm doing the work, to make some $$$ on the side. But I'm not taking any orders yet, so don't get excited! You'll hear from me if the plan comes together.

Dan, After I bought the rail material etc.. It is with in $20 of buying a LR piece unless you do your own machine work and don't count the cost of your time.

How much off for a rail only, and does anyone have a tidy solution for mounting a simple 3 bar regulator with the Lindsey rail? I really can't afford this right now, but .....

double check

So minus the $$$ for the two things above, I'm only looking at about $100-150 in material cost.

"$100-150 in material cost. " does that include the fuel damper? or just the fuel rail?
Will you count in the cost of your time and your machine work if we were to order from you?

From Lindsey, it is $250 for the rail with damper.
If you buy the kit, it is $250 for rail with damper, $170 for adjustable fuel regulator, and $60 x3 for the three fuel lines with fittings. == $ 600 for the whole kit

If we make this group buy successful, it will be around $100 off if we get ten orders. If we get 15 orders, it will be $100 off, plus possible free "Fire Sleeve" ($26 value) included.

Don't forget about the damper..$$
Fittings..no big deal
The brackets.. Hard to make them that nice.

I'm talking rail only, Its close to buying it....unless you make a dozen to pay for the machine time and get a discount on multiple dampers.

did anyone ask John D about this yet, the LR rail GB?

I don't understand the people asking for rail only...are you going to make your own hoses, fit your own damper, FPR? I doubt you could do it cheaper if you get 20 and get the GB done.

I made my own hoses for the Lindsey kit, and while I like the looks of the black anodized Earl's fittings, it was a pain in the ***. Probably worth the money they charge.
