Default 951 or 968 forged Connecting rods?

Does anyone know where I can find a quality set of Forged rods for my 968 turbo application? I've checked carrillo, pauter, a few others but they all want like $1,100.00 or more for a set of four. I mean come on I know thier for a porsche but you dont have to ream us in the *** because we choose to own fine automobiles. Any help would be appreciated.

Do not use a 968 rod. If you PM me your e-mail address, I'll send you a picture of a 968,951, and pauter rod side by side and you'll see why I say that. I have a good set of 951 rods that I'll part with if you need them.

Here's the difference:

951 forged (left) Carrillo H-beam (center) 968 forged(?)(right)

Crower rods are about $780 for the set of 4 for the Porsche 968.

The 83 and early 84 rods are in fact forged, but they are physically different (though interchangable) from the 951 rods. I just put a set of these '83 rods in the 951 motor I am rebuilding now.
