You guys should check out those videos Luis posted above. Great glimpse into the past. I'd totally forgotten that they won their class at Le Mans...on street tyres and only went through 5 tyres for the event. Amazing!!

It fits the 100mm block just fine. It's going to take custom valves etc (it's much tighter and shorter in there) , custom water necks, intake and exh. connections. Who knows what else. It takes HUGE valves (missing) and ports.

wow....I spent lots of time working that showroom and hustling the cars around into different configurations in the 80s.

I also was able to see that car again at rennsport and notice that Mr. Klem is still a stickler for perfection as he was there working on the car.

That car has a lot of unrealized potential and I would like to see what it could truly do when it is realized.

The 935/930s was also under the same tent and the 934rsr was there too but I believe electrodyne still owned it at the time.

Great fun on in the pits.....with porshe #1 being in pit position #1

I was kneeling down sighting down the bumpy side of the car next to it that had some sort of spare tire on a sort of rally kit on the roof and that car was bumpy.

I saw a pair of legs come into view and said "wow...did this car come out of a barn?".

As I stood up the owner of the legs answered "A chicken coop!....it came out of a chicken coop!" just like Jerry Seinfeld does when exasperated on his show.

I turned and was, indeed, Jerry himself while he went on to say "well, it was actually a very nice chicken coop converted to a car storage area" and he indicated he was going back to possibly pick up another.

It might have been porsche #2 but not fully sure.

I snapped a pic with a lame pencam.

I was bidding on a that or a another GTR head a couple of years ago.
It also looks like it needs a custom cam housing.

If that makes any grammatical sense.

Thanks for bumping this!

The minute I saw that 91 car it struck me how timeless the design of these cars was, as it immediately reminded me of the Super GT RX 7 from 20+ years later!

Porsche is known for giving pretty low/conservative power estimates.

Reminds me, I need to paint a little 944 GTR!

Take care!

Default Pics of rear fenders

Hi
I'm new to post here but has been member for years. I'm right now building on a 951 with theese GTR rear fenders but has no idea how it's made inside that fender. Did it have directly access / outlet to rear opening or did it have an inner fender. If anybody has got pics with the fenders of or a direct shot from behind I would like to see it. When I find out how to post pics I'll post some from my build.

Regards from Denmark

Peter

You've just got to stop all these unnecessary posts Peter!
lol...sorry, just can't quite believe you've been a member since 2007 and just made your first post. Talk about being economical with your words! :-)

Don't have any pics of the rears but they were probably open to relieve pressure rather than contain it.

EDIT: Here's some of Duke's car.

True, it's not a real GTR. But how a real GTR looks and interface the bodywork won't help you as they were a full tube chassis and don't share any body structure with a 944.
So it's probably much more helpful to look at 944s with GTR fenders/bodywork.
