Default Katrina damage

I just saw a bit of footage from Katrina (did not hear if it was in LA. or where) but it showed the front on view of a 944. It appeared dark blue and had water over the headlights. The marker lights were visible below water level. As sad as this is for us 944 lovers, we know it's nothing compared to what many are experiencing from this storm. I am sure all of us not directly affected by this storm wish all of you involved our best wishes and hope you find all loved ones well and minimum damage.

all I can hope for is that everyone is safe. Im lucky that it missed us here in Tampa, all we `had was some of really good rain and wind! New Orleans watch out, they are under mandatory evacuation.

. . . this "havnol" is why a condo in Marin is $1.2M.

Seriously, every year is worse than the last!

We have a fair amount of damage here in Mobile...we need a roof on our house and lots of limbs down. We have a second house on Dog river (on stilts). Luckily the water crested before reaching the bottom of the house. We were lucky...folks in Mississippi weren't. My wife has a coworker who had an apartment on the beach in Gulfport....reported to be gone. Hardrock Hotel in Biloxi was set to open this week or next...said to need complete rebuilding.

Magown indicated that he didn't even see rain. I guess he was on the west side?

I think Magown is in Ruston or Shrevport, Terry is in Plaquemine, the town not the parish, which is below Baton Rouge IIRC>

The aftermath is worse than the initial hit by the hurricane. I know you guys are not seing all of what is actually happening down here, you would not beleive it. Both mine and my wifes families are living with us right now but all are ok so we are thankfull. We got our power back on yesterday. Besides a few trees down around my house the only other thing that happened was the car cover was blown off of my 951. We were lucky.

I took this photo in the Slidell area.

Terry is ok, haven't heard from Scott (ELLSSUU) but I have been in his area checking on people and it was hit hard. Hope all is well.

I'm here. Lots of trees down in my yard. No power/phones/water for at least 2 months. Putting the kids in private school in Baton Rouge. Every house around me has a tree through it so I'm very lucky. Porsche is still in Mandeville and I can't get it out of the garage yet due to limbs and trees. I'm living/working in Baton Rouge.

Running to Mandeville today and tomorrow to clean up as much as I can. Will have to learn to use a chainsaw. LOL

I've heard from Terry's son and I think they made it pretty well. Don't know about Blueman.

Was the blue 944 an S2?

Sad to see what have happend over there. New Orleans is one of my favorite US cities.

Katrina have also effects here in europe, gas price just jumped like a rocket. This morning 95 octane was 1.48€ per liter and most likely it will be over 1,50€ in couple of days

Glad to see all the LA boys online and safe! Good to know you got minimal damage as well.

My wife has registered 12 kids from K thru 9th grade even at Heber Springs, seems quite a few people had relatives there and the families got out, living in Heber Springs and got the kids in school.

We had two guys from Gulfport and Biloxi, on our vessel, who lost everything there. My company is paying ALL the employess who lost everything or suffered serious damage, who are still there, as though they were offshore and have established two seperate funds for ALL the families, and have two spots for those employess to get emergency cash.
