A head mechanic on TRG's GTO team just bought a house in New Orleans. He owns a 951 and had the foresight to park it on the 3rd story of a parking garage before he left a few weeks back. He still doesnt know what to expect due to the looting and general anarchy. His car is a real point of pride for him, as our's are to us and that showed some real forsight on his part - more so than the US govs I'd say.

I could go on a long diatribe about the US gov's misdirected resources in this affair, but it wont do a bit of good. Fortunately, this "Monarchy" has a scheduled end in little over 3 years.

"Was the blue 944 an S2?"

I don't know. It was blue but I just had a frontal view and as i said the water was over the headlights. It was too quick of a view and with the top of the hood and above to judge from I couldn't tell.
